The Refusers: Vaccine Protest Music Gone Viral

The first public performance of a now quite controversial rock band was in July 2010 at the American Rally for Personal Rights. In the tradition of protest songs during civil rights and anti-war movements, The Refusers presented their protest music as a tribute to vaccine-injury victims past, present and future.

Michael Belkin and his band use a unique musical style they have dubbed ‘Innoc-You-Rock’ to focus listeners’ attention on controversial vaccine issues. Their hard-hitting lyrics provide a direct counterpoint to what they see as “government issued vaccine propaganda and the current medical establishment’s policy of vaccinate first, ask questions later.”

The Refusers’ name was chosen in direct response to the American Medical Association’s position on informed consent, which says:

“Your patient should have an opportunity to ask questions to elicit a better understanding of the treatment or procedure, so that he or she can make an informed decision to proceed or to refuse a particular course of medical intervention.”

Michael Belkin categorically states, “The AMA’s position on informed consent does not say ‘except vaccines.’ Vaccination choice is a fundamental human right. Any doctor who fails to inform you about the risks associated with vaccines, or who contends you do not have the right to refuse vaccination is violating their own medical code of ethics.”

What motivated Mr. Belkin to organize his vaccination protest band?

Flashback fourteen years: Michael is a successful, self-employed quantitative strategist happily married to the woman of his dreams. Lyla Rose was born with no complications – a healthy, happy baby girl. At five weeks of age, she is taken for a check-up and a booster shot of Hepatitis B vaccine. 15 hours later, Michael’s baby girl was gone.

Michael states that although the coroner initially stated Lyla’s brain was swollen (encephalitis), the cause of death ultimately ruled as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The swollen brain and the hepatitis B vaccine were not mentioned in the final autopsy report.

Knowing that SIDS is a diagnosis of exclusion and brain inflammation is not SIDS, Michael’s research began. He discovered the following quote from Merck’s Home Health Manual:

Encephalitis can occur in the following ways:

• A virus directly infects the brain.
• A virus that caused an infection in the past becomes reactivated and directly damages the brain.
• A virus or vaccine triggers a reaction that makes the immune system attack brain tissue (an autoimmune reaction).

Michael found himself attending any applicable government meeting he could. He attended a workshop at the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine on “Neo-Natal Death and the Hepatitis B Vaccine” and an Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting on the safety of the hepatitis B vaccine. He obtained the entire VAERS database on hepatitis B adverse events reports and investigated it thoroughly.

In May of 1999, seven months after the tragic loss of his daughter, Michael Belkin presented the following testimony to Congress:

Michael continues to work within the system to promote vaccine safety and preserve the right to vaccine choice for many years. Although he experiences some small successes, Michael ultimately gets to the point where he feels he is beating his head against a brick wall. Those in charge of vaccination rules, regulations and policy-making just do not seem to care. Tired and wanting to return to a somewhat normal life, Michael takes some time off from vaccine safety and consent issues.

During his respite, he witnesses the development and marketing of several additional vaccines. He watches the autism rate climb to a previously unheard of level. He witnesses a substantial increase in the size of the VAERS database. He witnesses the increase in chronic and debilitating diseases in young people throughout the United States.

Michael went on to have two healthy unvaccinated children. He witnessed apartheid-like exclusionary policies being instituted against children whose parents chose to try and preserve their health and well-being. He witnessed people losing their jobs because they decided one vaccine or another was not in their best interest. He witnessed schools, daycares, and even medical professionals exclude people based on their vaccination status.

Michael Belkin decided enough was enough. The only option left was to take his message to the streets via a medium that might catch the attention of the average American medical consumer. Michael, his 11-year old unvaccinated son Sebastian, Steve Newton and Joey Walbaum decided to use their musical talents organize a protest band that would publicly stand up for everyone’s right to refuse vaccination.

The Refusers take great pride in their young drummer, Sebastian Belkin – a real deal healthy refuser – and visible proof that the unvaccinated are not the threat to public health and safety they are being portrayed as. Sebastian is the epitome of a normal healthy young man, not to mention talented.

Their strategy appears to be working. The Refusers first video, shown below, has officially gone viral with over 280,000 views. First Do No Harm, is also the title cut of the band’s soon to be released CD.

Michael Belkin and The Refusers have obviously found an effective way to get their message to those who need to hear it.

The HPV vaccine - what do you really know about it?

(NaturalNews) If you are considering vaccinating your child with an HPV vaccine, what information have you read, and what questions have you asked?What do you KNOW about the human papillomaviruses (HPV) which the medical profession says causes cervical cancer?

If you are going to vaccinate your child on the word of the medical profession, and don't want any further information, then stop right here. But be aware that ignorance is not bliss. And that the medical system has deliberately not told you everything you need to know about either the viruses, or the vaccine.

If you want to take responsibility for your own decisions, rather than hand over responsibility to the medical profession, then you might be interested in some of the following questions and answers, which deserve truthful answers that the vaccine industry doesn't want to give you:

Question: Publicity for Gardasil says that girls should have this HPV vaccine before sexual intercourse, because they don't catch this virus until they are sexually active. Is this correct?

No, this is not correct. Over the last 20 years, the medical profession has documented that human papillomaviruses can be transmitted during pregnancy, after pregnancy, from child to child, and adult to child.

Question: Why then are we told that these human papillomaviruses can only be contracted after sex?

Because adolescents are the market Merck was targeting, and to admit that the viruses can be acquired naturally before sex, doesn't suit Merck. The medical literature for the last 20 years has also stated that to ignore the fact that HPV viruses can cause silent infection at any age 'has implications for any vaccination programme,' though those 'implications' have never been spelled out. However, they expect parents to naively believe that intelligent human papillomaviruses know they aren't allowed to let themselves loose, until the first act of sexual intercourse. And for some reason, most parents believe this sort of nonsense statement.

Question: Are these viruses implicated in cervical cancers, and other cancers?

Yes they are - but primarily in people, whose innate immune system is struggling because they eat rubbish, drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, don't get enough sleep, and burn the candle at 12 ends. Much more than a virus is required for a woman to get cervical cancer.

Question: Doesn't everyone get human papillomavirus infections?

Yes. Not only has 'everyone' but just about any species that breathes gets papillomavirus infections - even lizards. The medical literature shows that a good diet, correct mineral and vitamin intake, and living a healthy lifestyle, normally results in the recipient throwing off HP infections easier than a cold, and all they have to show for it, is lifelong natural immunity. Healthy lifestyles don't fill Big Pharma bank balances, so you won't be told about that.

Question: But I've been told this vaccine is so important! Is that wrong

This vaccine is very important for Merck's accountants - vitally important. It's 'the' product that is supposed to dig Merck out of its current financial woes.

But is it important for your child? No. The cervical smear programme stopped people dying of cervical cancer long before 'fear-no-longer' Gardasil came along. And because the vaccine only covers two types out of at least 20 supposedly carcinogenic HP virus types (amongst at least 300 different strains), people who have cancer phobia will still want to have smears anyway. Today, 90% of all deaths from cervical cancer occur in the third world countries which don't have such a programme, or the ability to deal with abnormal smears even if they had a smear programme. The primary drivers of cervical cancer in third world countries are chronic malnutrition, and fundamentally atrocious living conditions, which happens to create the most susceptible population with the least resources.

Question: So why have I been recommended to inject my child with three Gardasil vaccines?

Because if a vaccine is available the medical system tries to scare everyone into using it. After all, it's much easier to 'believe' their assumption that antibodies from Gardasil will still be around 40 years from now. It's much easier not to have to pay attention to diet, and all the other things which would make sure most people never got cancer in the first place.
But the bottom line is that Merck developed Gardasil in the hope that it would be a 'block-buster' vaccine which would help pay for all the litigation Merck faces as the result of another Merck drug, called Vioxx, which maimed and killed lots of people, whose families then turned around and sued Merck for millions of dollars.

Obviously, Merck isn't going to make any money from the third world -the countries that really need it, according to Dr Frazer who co-patented the vaccine. So Merck decided to target all the rich countries that do not need Gardasil. By charging wealthy countries lots of money, then maybe someday about forty years from now..., they might get around to providing it to people in the third world, if they are still around. Which is a bit farcical, when in those countries, what the people could really do with, is decent food, clean water, getting rid of nepotistic dictators and warring tribes, being provided with basic healthcare, and the means of growing their own food... but all that's much too hard. Particularly when Merck's main aim is making money and staying in business.

Question: What is in Gardasil?

According to the data sheet, the vaccine supposedly contains 'no viral DNA1' and each 0.5 mL dose of the vaccine contains:
20 mcg of HPV 6 L1 protein
40 mcg of HPV 11 L1 protein
40 mcg of HPV 16 L1 protein
20 mcg of HPV 18 L1 protein
225 mcg aluminum (as amorphous aluminum hydroxyphosphate sulfate adjuvant2)

9.56 mg of sodium chloride
0.78 mg of L-histidine
50 mcg of polysorbate 80 (shown to induce infertility in mice, which is why it's the main ingredient in depo-provera, and which also makes the brain blood barrier easier to penetrate)
35 mcg of sodium borate
water for injection

Question: What do you mean,'Supposedly'?

Contrary to the manufacturers' documents, the vaccine does actually contain Viral DNA. According to documents filed with Medsafe New Zealand, each vaccine also has a much higher amount of HPV protein than stated on the product insert, in order to ensure that as the vaccine degrades over time, at the END of the shelf life, the vaccine will actually contain the stated dose on the vial.

Question: What do you mean, this vaccine has recombinant HPV viral DNA! What is recombinant HPV viral DNA?

This is where small lengths of genes from two different sources, are combined to make a single recombined length of genes which will perform a specific function.

Question: The New Zealand Government, the manufacturers and all the health authorities not only assured us that there is no DNA, but they say SANE Vax Inc.'s allegations of contamination with DNA are a load of smelly porkies! Explain yourself please?

No-one from the Government, FDA, EMA, or Health Departments have at any time, asked to see the test results of the vaccine, which SANE Vax Inc. commissioned. So, on what basis do they think that the test results are incorrect?

Gardasil was made by taking a DNA sequence (which makes the virus "envelope") from different types of papillomaviruses found in cancerous cervical cells. This viral genetic sequence was then spliced into a plasmid 3 - a circular piece of bacterial DNA (which helps divide the bacterial chromosomes) and allows the HPV DNA to be cloned into yeast. Plasmid DNA also encourages quick manufacture of the 'balls,' by the HPV genes. The genetically engineered mix then makes lots of little empty balls, or 'virus like particles' as seen in photo4 of the Gardasil vaccine.

Then according to Merck's patent5, they have a highly sophisticated process which is supposed to filter out and remove 'contaminating biomolecules, including DNA, lipids and proteins.'
What the test results found, was that some recombinant DNA sequences originating from different types of the virus DNA used to make the vaccine, are still in the vaccine.

Question: What are all those other bits in that photo?

Aluminium, and presumably more mashed up virus like particles. But according to the tests commissioned by SANE Vax Inc., viral DNA used to make those little balls and mashed up pieces, are not removed from Gardasil.
Question: But FDA says that these recombinant DNA are "expected" when using this process. Isn't that true?

No. If those DNA fragments were "expected" components of Gardasil, they would have been listed in the ingredients of the vaccine, and documentation should exist showing why they are a safe and 'essential' ingredient in the vaccine.

Question: How does this fancy patented purification process tell the difference between culture medium DNA, yeast DNA and HPV DNA?
You tell me and we'll both know.

Question: If SANE-vax's tests ARE actually correct, why did a purification process which is supposed to remove DNA lipids, proteins, and biomolecules not work?

I think Merck would like to know the answer to that as well. In the meantime, FDA are covering Merck's butt for them.

Question: But isn't there a final product purity test for Gardasil?
In New Zealand, according to paper work submitted to Medsafe, there are no final purity tests, because Merck believes their filtration process is good enough without them.

Question: But aren't there filtration tests designed to make sure the process is good enough?

According to paper work submitted to Medsafe, there are no filtration "adequacy" tests because Merck believes their process is good enough without them.

Question: Isn't Gardasil made the same way as the Hepatitis B vaccine?

Yes, and according to FDA6 documentation, "Assays for cesium, polysaccharides, DNA, pyrogens and sterility are performed" on the Hepatitis B bulk product. You'd think the same would be done for Gardasil, wouldn't you?

Question: Does the Hepatitis B vaccine also contain genetically engineered, recombinant DNA?

It would appear that the Hepatitis B vaccine could ALSO contain a similar kind of genetically manipulated DNA (in spite of tests to ensure DNA removal). Such recombinant DNA in the Hepatitis B vaccines is also not mentioned in its data sheet or constituent list.

FDA, in its reply to SANE Vax Inc., intimated that Hepatitis B vaccine also contains recombinant DNA, and that such unstated DNA was quite "acceptable". So they are covering Merck's butt for that as well.

Question: FDA says these particles are no big deal because they can't cause infection. Is that true?

No it's not. The point of a vaccine is to form antibodies to various substances called "antigens" in the vaccine. DNA doesn't have to cause infection to spell trouble. Because the recombinant DNA is tightly bound to the aluminium, the aluminium turns the DNA into an 'antigen,' something the immune system has to react to. But an abnormal immune response, especially to an aluminium-bound DNA, could result in antibodies which cross react and turn against healthy DNA. That could cause autoimmune disease, brain inflammation, joint inflammation, and major disruption to energy pathways, hormone functions and a vast array of other biological pathways, which normally keep an adolescent healthy, physically and mentally.

Question: But FDA says that Gardasil is very safe and doesn't cause anything more than a sore arm. Isn't that true?

No. America's FDA and all medical authorities say that all vaccines are safe apart from sore arms, and that everything else that happens after a vaccine is a coincidence..., and anyone who says otherwise, needs their head looked at.

FDA monitors all vaccines by using a system called VAERS, short for the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, which is known to only collect 10% of reactions at most, and reporting is voluntary, not mandatory. On the one hand, they 'consult' this system, but on the other, they consider that all reactions sent to this system have nothing to do with the vaccine at all. So in terms of a monitoring system, they might as well not have one at all. In fact, they might as well do away with it altogether, since to them, the fact that Gardasil reports comprise 20% of all reported reactions appears to them to be some fabricated nuisance. It doesn't seem to occur to the FDA, that perhaps there is something badly wrong with this 'lovely safe' vaccine, which their crystal ball says will prevent your child from having cervical cancer, by the (average) age of 54.

Question: Are you telling me, I shouldn't trust the FDA, health authorities and governmental agencies?

Why would you want to trust anyone who tells you something ludicrous like, "Human papillomaviruses have a label on their foreheads saying 'No entry until sex'" when that is patently, proveably untrue? If FDA can spread such ridiculous comments world-wide, without corrective advice from the scientists who know that isn't true, why would the FDA (or silent scientists) bother with the'truth' when it came to anything else?

Question: So what do I do now?

I don't know. It's your choice. You could vaccinate your child, and see what happens. Does that sound like a good idea? If it doesn't, you better tell your child, because in some countries, they can be vaccinated without your consent!

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 14, 2011 – When the Monday night CNN / Tea Party Express Republican candidates’ presidential debate turned to the constitutionality of healthcare mandates, Representative Bachmann voiced her opinion as the mother of three daughters and the foster mother for 23 other foster girls when she stated: ‘To have innocent little 12-year old girls be forced to have a government injection through an executive order is just flat out wrong. That’s a violation of a liberty interest.’

On Tuesday morning, Bachmann was interviewed on CNN’s American Morning and shared that a mother approached her after the debate and spoke about the very serious consequences her daughter experienced after getting Gardasil.

Bachmann is speaking for millions of parents who believe that mandating a government injection is wrong. She also spoke about the pressure placed on families by doctors and educators even if there is an ‘opt-out’ clause. According to Bachmann ‘Little girls who have a negative reaction to this potentially dangerous drug don’t get a mulligan. They don’t get a do-over. The parents don’t get a do-over.’ 1

Bachmann also blasted Texas Governor Rick Perry with the question that the parent of every adversely injured child is asking ‘is this [vaccine] about life or millions of dollars?’

Everyone by now knows that Perry retorted that Merck’s political action committee gave his campaign $5,000.

In what year was that Governor Perry? It appears the Merck has donated over $25,000 over the course of Perry’s career: $1,000 in 2000; $5,000 in 2002; $10,000 in 2004; $1,000 in 2005; $5,000 in 2006; $2,500 in 2008 and $5,000 in 2010.1

The figure is actually very low for a state as large as Texas….could it be that donations are being funneled from elsewhere – say from a relatively new biotechnological company in Texas? The comment below was posted to an article written by Ed Silverman of Pharmalot fame titled: “Rick Perry And The Gardasil Controversy, Take Two”

‘Interesting to note that a company in Texas with which Rick Perry has a connection with is Gradalis Inc. Move the letters around and it spells Gardasil. In May 2010, Perry’s office gave $3 million to fund G-Con, another Texas Pharma, owned 10% by Gradalis, Inc. The executives of G-Con and the CEO of Gradalis have all given substantial thousands to Perry’s campaign. It was rumored back in 2007 that Perry made a lot of people wealthy, including his family, by mandating the Gardasil vaccine in the State of Texas. If there is government involvement, there is no free market.’2

Gradalis Inc. is a fully integrated biotechnological company in Dallas Texas that focuses on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of drugs, vaccines, tools and diagnostics, primarily in the area of cancer.3 Gradalis? Gardasil? Hmm…

Damage Control at CNN

Meanwhile, back at CNN Elizabeth Cohen did multiple interviews with the station’s news anchors on the HPV vaccine – it was obvious her job for the day was to emphatically state in every way she could that the HPV vaccines are safe – and any adverse injuries reported from Gardasil including paralysis are ‘coincidental.’ Might one ask how much Merck spends on advertising on CNN –or, the other major media networks, for that matter?4

National media outlets are now quick to jump on the bandwagon as doctors and public health leaders speak out to correct misinformation regarding the safety of HPV vaccines that prevent cervical cancer after Bachmann attacked the vaccines as “dangerous” when she related her conversation with the mother of an adversely injured girl mother who blames the shots for her daughter’s mental retardation.

But, there’s no evidence that the HPV shot — or any other vaccine — causes retardation, says O. Marion Burton, president of the American Academy of Pediatrics.5

Mental retardation is the wrong term – the correct term is ‘brain damage’ from the neurotoxins in the vaccine crossing the blood-brain barrier affecting the endocrine and autoimmune systems.

Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing

Merck & Co’s marketing department timing couldn’t have been much worse with their BusinessWire press release Tuesday announcing a new partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. ‘Merck Partners with Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) on Historic Initiative to Help Address Cervical and Breast Cancer in Developing Nations,’ seemed to do little except cast further doubt on the integrity of the pharmaceutical giant.6

The big bad wolf is hiding once again in sheep’s clothing while portraying their humanitarian interest in partnering with the foundation to disseminate breast and cervical cancer information to women in Africa. According to the release Merck will be contributing ‘$3 million over three years to the Pink Ribbon–Red Ribbon initiative to help address both cervical and breast cancer in sub-Saharan African nations by supporting disease education, screening and treatment efforts as well as increased access to cervical cancer vaccination.”

After one gets over the initial ‘Awww ain’t that nice…’ it becomes pretty clear that Merck is using the foundation to develop new markets for their vaccine in countries where no adequate vaccine injury tracking systems exist, not to mention cervical screening.

Women who supported the Komen Foundation are already speaking out on Facebook. One woman writes: ‘This absolutely disgusts me! My grandmother struggled with breast cancer for years. All contributions from her funeral were donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. How dare these money hungry drug lords attempt to conceal their cruel and merciless intentions by allying with such a wonderful foundation. Completely sickening.’

SANE Vax Inc. agrees with Bachmann when she stated in another interview with CNN after the debate that Perry’s admission that he could have done things differently didn’t change the situation.

“It’s not enough to say, ‘I’m sorry. I was wrong.’ You have to get it right the first time,” Bachmann said.

It is time for medical consumers to be aware that Merck, the FDA, and CDC did not get the HPV vaccine right the first time. The adverse injuries and deaths to innocent previously healthy adolescents took one time…..one decision to get the vaccine series….. and for them there is no turning back either.

We can only move forward now that Bachmann has opened the door and exposed the ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing.’ It is time for their reckoning.

SANE Vax Inc. Announces the Discovery of Viral HPV DNA Contaminant in Gardasil

Phone calls from mothers with children who have experienced adverse events after HPV vaccination is part of the everyday routine for members of the SANE Vax team. This one was different. A sexually naïve 13 year old girl from Toronto had developed acute juvenile rheumatoid arthritis within 24 hours after the third Gardasil™ injection. Two years later, her blood was tested by a local clinical laboratory and found to be positive for HPV DNA.

Local physicians could provide no explanation. Human papillomavirus is an epithelial virus which does not survive in the blood stream for long. HPV only thrives on skin and mucosal membranes. They could not explain why HPV was in her blood instead of HPV antibodies.

Desperate for answers, her mother called SANE Vax to see if there was any research available that might shed some light on her daughter’s situation. Not having any contradictory information available, the SANE Vax team agreed to contact some experts for their professional opinion.

Many phone calls and much research later, the only option left was to try to determine whether Gardasil could have been the possible source of HPV in the girl’s blood.

Dr. Sin Hang Lee, a pathologist at the Milford Hospital pathology laboratory well-known for using cutting-edge DNA sequencing for molecular diagnoses,[i] was initially contracted to examine a single sample of Gardasil for possible contamination. This sample tested positive for recombinant viral HPV-11 and viral HPV-18 residues, both of which were firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant.

In order to understand the possible implications of such contamination, medical consumers must understand the following definitions:

There is no such thing as an independently ‘live virus’. Any and all viruses must be embedded in a host cell in order to reproduce.
‘Wild DNA’ is any DNA found in nature.
‘Viral DNA’ is any DNA isolated or derived from the genome of a virus.
‘Recombinant DNA’ is a DNA that has been artificially attached to DNA from another species or a man-made DNA construct, in other words, genetically modified.
‘Recombinant DNA,’ also known as genetically modified DNA, is considered a biohazard.[ii] [iii]
‘DNA residue’ is left-over DNA in a final product after the product has been purified to remove the DNA.
Any DNA can be adsorbed (attached) to aluminum adjuvant.
‘Mutagenesis’ is the formation or development of a genetic mutation. Gardasil has not been evaluated for mutagenesis.[iv]
‘Carcinogenesis’ is the initiation of cancer formation. Gardasil has not been evaluated for carcinogenesis.⁴
Concerned that recombinant DNA, if present, might have triggered some of the autoimmune-based inflammatory disorders and malignant tumors observed among children/young women after receiving Gardasil™ vaccinations, medical professionals and vaccine safety advocates from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, and Poland donated samples of Gardasil™ currently distributed in their countries to be examined.

In all, 13 different lot numbers were tested by Dr. Sin Hang Lee. One hundred percent of the samples were found to be contaminated with viral HPV DNA residues, firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant.

At the time of Gardasil™ approval, both Merck and the FDA represented that there was no viral DNA in the vaccine.[v] [vi] [vii] Both the FDA and Merck knew, or should have known, that any residual recombinant HPV DNA left in the vaccine could pose a health risk to any medical consumer injected with Gardasil™.[viii] [ix]

Medical consumers need the answers to the following questions:

If recombinant HPV DNA attached to aluminum adjuvant enters a person’s blood, how long will it remain there?

What autoimmune-related disorders could result from this contamination?
Is it possible for this contamination to initiate gene mutations which may lead to cancer?
What genetic changes (mutagenesis) could occur should the residual HPV DNA enter and begin reproducing in a human cell?
SANE Vax believes the FDA should have required Merck to test for, evaluate and quantify the risks of residual recombinant HPV DNA in Gardasil™ before granting approval for marketing the vaccine. SaneVax believes the FDA should require every lot of Gardasil™ be tested for residual HPV DNA prior to shipment.

It is time for the manufacturer and the FDA to do their jobs. It is time to disclose the health impacts contaminant viral HPV DNA may have unleashed on unsuspecting medical consumers around the globe.

SANE Vax Inc. has sent a letter to Dr. Margaret Hamburg, FDA Commissioner to inform her of the contamination and request FDA investigation into the extent of HPV DNA contamination in the Gardasil HPV4 vaccine currently on the market. It was also requested that the FDA take appropriate actions to ensure public safety regarding future shipments.

Anything less than immediate action is not acceptable.

At the request of medical consumers concerned about HPV vaccine safety and efficacy, SANE Vax Inc. has retained a private laboratory to test a number of samples of HPV 4 Gardasil™ (Merck) for possible contamination by human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in the vaccine lots distributed to physicians.

The laboratory has informed SANE Vax Inc. that one hundred percent of thirteen (13) samples of Gardasil™ taken from lots #1437Z, #1511Z, # 0553AA, #NL35360, #NP23400, #NN33070, #NL01490, #NM25110, #NL39620, #NK16180, #NK00140, #NM08120 and #NL13560, currently being marketed in the U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, and Poland have been found to be positive for HPV DNA.

One of the HPV DNA fragments detected in the vaccine is part of a synthetic construct (GenBank Locus SCU55993) for HPV11 major capsid protein L1 gene, a recombinant DNA genetically engineered specifically for manufacturing of the Gardasil vaccine. Its unique sequence is copied below for your reference.



Because one hundred percent of the samples tested were positive for HPV DNA contamination, SANE Vax Inc. requests the FDA investigate the extent of the HPV DNA contamination in the Gardasil HPV4 vaccine currently on the market and take appropriate actions to ensure public safety regarding future shipments.

The SANE Vax Inc. data, including the electropherograms of short target sequencing used to validate the HPV DNA detected in the thirteen (13) Gardasil samples, each with a different lot number, are available for your review, provided appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the proprietary processes and information utilized by our laboratory to test the samples.

Partnering for HPV Vaccine Introduction, Part I: Questions Unanswered

Despite unanswered questions about HPV vaccine efficacy and duration of protection, nine 'partner' organizations chose to proceed making plans for worldwide distribution of Gardasil and Cervarix prior to FDA approval. What is wrong with this picture?


PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 05, 2011 – On 5 October 2005, eight months prior to FDA approval of the HPV vaccine Gardasil, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO, a regional office of the World Health Organization) sponsored a meeting in Washington D.C. The theme of this meeting was, Partnering for HPV Vaccine Introduction. According to the final report issued after this meeting,1 its purpose was to, “accelerate and strengthen the dialogue between invited partner agencies regarding their interests and plans related to the introduction of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines.”

Of course, both potential vaccine suppliers, Merck and GlaxoSmithKline, were ‘invited.’ In addition to the potential suppliers, representatives from the following ‘partnering agencies’ were in attendance:

• The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)
• The World Health Organization (WHO)
• The International Union Against Cancer (UICC)
• The American Cancer Society (ACS)
• The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
• The United States National Cancer Institute (NCI)
• The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
• Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH)
• The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation

After a brief introduction, representatives of PAHO outlined the activities their organization had already conducted in preparation for the introduction of the yet to be approved HPV vaccines. Then, Merck and GSK each made a brief presentation regarding their respective-proposed HPV vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix.

The presentations made by Merck and GlaxoSmithKline raised the following questions from their ‘partnering agencies’:

• Question 1: How would vaccine efficacy be assessed in young children in the absence of CIN lesions?

• Question 2: How will the issue of consent for HPV vaccine trials in adolescents be handled?

• Question 3: What is the duration of protection conferred by these vaccines?

• Question 4: What level of antibody is actually protection?

According to the final report on this meeting, published by PAHO, the answers given to these questions were sketchy at best. That may be understandable, considering HPV vaccines had not yet been approved by the FDA. However, it is not acceptable for these questions to remain unanswered five years post-FDA approval.

SaneVax Inc. has the following concerns regarding the above-stated questions:

Question 1: Although both vaccine suppliers indicated they were ‘conducting immune-bridging studies,’ the question posed has still not been answered. There is no adequate reliable method of testing HPV vaccine efficacy to this day. Using CIN lesions is not reliable, considering they frequently reverse on their own, without medical intervention. Efficacy against vaccine-relevant HPV genotypes could theoretically be tested via DNA sequencing, but that option is not readily available to medical consumers.

Question 2: Both vaccine suppliers indicated they required consent from the parent, or legal guardian, as well as permission from the subject when trials were conducted with participants below the legal age of consent. This clearly was not the case in India, April 2009, when clinical trials were halted because of alleged ethics violations including boarding school administrators being allowed to give consent for all of the girls attending their school, and other consent forms being returned with a thumbprint (clearly indicating the person granting consent could not read the consent form).2

Question 3: The answer provided by both vaccine suppliers then (information on duration of protection is unavailable at this time), is similar to the one they give today. Both vaccines have been approved for nearly five years. One of the suppliers is already talking about the potential need for a booster shot to maintain protection. Duration of protection is still unknown.

Question 4: The answer given at the time by the vaccine suppliers was, “There are currently no established serologic correlates of protection.” What that means is no matter how many antibodies are produced and circulating in a vaccinated person’s bloodstream, no one knows if you are protected. Serologic correlates have still not been established.

Three of the four questions posed at the meeting are basic questions that should have been answered prior to FDA approval of either HPV vaccine. There must be a reliable way to determine efficacy and antibody level required for protection with any vaccine. These should be determined prior to marketing. Every vaccine carries some risk for some people. If efficacy cannot be determined with accuracy you have nothing left but risk.

Duration of protection should also be well established prior to marketing for the same reason efficacy needs to be determined. No one can logically determine if a vaccine is cost effective when they do not know the duration of protection.

One has to wonder why nine prestigious organizations, responsible for the health and well-being of millions of people, would agree to stand behind and promote any vaccine that could not clearly and scientifically demonstrate the answers to very basic questions regarding the product’s efficacy.

There are only a couple of options available to medical consumers to determine HPV vaccines’ efficacy. One, wait 20 or more years to see if HPV vaccines actually make an impact on cervical cancer rates; or two, demand post licensure monitoring that includes HPV DNA sequencing to find out if the vaccines are actually making an impact on vaccine-relevant genotypes of HPV.

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 28, 2011 – My father, once a pharmaceutical packaging salesman and now an Alzheimer’s nursing home patient whose mental clarity declined rapidly post- flu vaccination – once told me ‘never believe in everything that is advertised.’ Truer advice was never given. Perhaps that is when I started questioning the marketing on products about women’s health, always reading between the lines and doing my own research.

Over the last 30 years – marketing and advertising has taken hold of the world. Consumers are continually bombarded with sales pitches for everything from the latest and greatest technological toys to medications and vaccines. Marketing campaigns for women’s health products are orchestrated with as much flare and fanfare as a formal event. 1. Gardasil was no exception.

In 2006, the HPV vaccine Gardasil was introduced to a public generally unaware of Human Papillomavirus or its supposed threat to adolescent girls and women. However, the public was quickly informed of the ‘dangers’ of the virus when Merck Pharmaceutical Company launched an aggressive One Less Girl to get Cervical Cancer advertising campaign – with an awarding-winning jingle that had adolescent girls dancing in their living rooms – determined to become one less victim of cervical cancer.

According to Neon Tommy, the campaign was successful. Merck’s marketing techniques earned Gardasil a “pharmaceutical brand of the year” award from Pharmaceutical Executive for its ‘savvy disease education,’ and creating ‘a market out of thin air.” 2.

OK – so as medical consumers we get the promotion of products….but when did scientific research sell out to marketing companies and the media?

How Women are Viewed by the Pharma/Medical Complex

In order to understand why this latest HPV vaccine uncontrolled medical experiment has been conducted on adolescent girls and now boy’s ages 9 to 26, it is important to recognize the social/political context of how women are perceived by the medical industry.

In their recently updated book, For Her Own Good: Two Centuries of the Experts Advice to Women by Barbara Ehrenreich and Deidre English expose the reasons for medical experiments on women.

“Since the nineteenth century, “experts” have been telling women how to take care of themselves. Generations of highly respected mainstream physicians have proclaimed most aspects of women’s lives an indication of weakness, from menstruation (illness requiring seclusion) to pregnancy (a disabling disease), to reading or intense conversation (a hazard to women’s health). Even domesticity, the prescription for a safe environment for women, became a domain for legions of “scientific” experts…. Yet experts continue to use pseudo-science to tell women how to live."

Ehrenreich and English write in the book’s introduction:

No matter how many degrees the experts dangle in front of you, no matter how many studies they cite, dig deeper, value your own real-life experiences, and think for yourself.3.

So when Reuters and CNBC.com and other world press picked up the story out of Australia (Ian Frazer country) this past week: Fewer girls develop cervical abnormalities after HPV vaccine 4. The SANE Vax team immediately started investigating.

According to Julia Brotherton, an epidemiologist with the Victorian Cytology Service Registries and lead author of the paper; "This data ... shows a reduction in the number of very young woman with high grade cervical lesions diagnosed since the vaccine program started."

However, mid-way through the article, Associate Professor Karen Canfell, an epidemiologist with the Cancer Council of New South Wales commented that "The study looked at overall trends, and we cannot be absolutely certain that the drop in cervical abnormalities in the youngest age group was due to HPV vaccination."

Norma Erickson, president of SANE Vax, Inc. immediately found the flaw in the data used in the study and commented, “Both groups showed less than 1% cervical abnormalities – which is statistically accurate across the board.

How can anyone state a reduction from 0.8% to 0.42% is a significant reduction? Technically, I will admit it is almost a 50% reduction but in 1,000 girls – that would be a reduction from 8 with abnormal cells to 4 with abnormal cells….which pap smears would catch a whole lot cheaper than paying $300,000 to vaccinate the same thousand girls – not to mention they still need pap screening regardless of vaccination status.”

Diane Harper as well as many other researchers in the field – have stated that it will be at least 20 years before it is known whether or not the HPV vaccines will have impacted the worldwide cervical cancer rates.

Professor Ian Frazer, Director of the Diamantina Institute for Cancer, Immunology and Metabolic Medicine in Australia and creator of the HPV vaccine – stated in an Australian newspaper article titled God’s Gift to Women, “HPV vaccines should eventually eliminate a number of epithelial cancers and reduce the annual burden of cancer deaths globally by 5%–10%.” 5.

It is truly unfortunate, that instead of utilizing an already proven, safe and effective means of reducing cervical cancer risk; the medical marketing ‘experts’ at Merck, the FDA, CDC, and NCI decided to ‘re-educate’ medical consumers and push a vaccine that has not been scientifically proven safe, affordable, necessary, or effective. Perhaps, it is not medical consumers that need to be ‘re-educated’ - Perhaps it is time for the medical ‘experts’ to learn - if medications/vaccinations are not Safe, Affordable, Necessary and Effective, medical consumers do not want them.

PRLog (Press Release) – Jun 07, 2011 – Traditional media blasted the news on Monday morning that Pharma ‘good guys’ softened their hearts…and let go of their purse strings to slash costs ‘on potentially life-saving vaccines for people in developing countries in an effort to sustain supplies via the GAVI international vaccine alliance.’ 1.

According to the London Reuters article:

The price cuts, offered by both generic and branded drugmakers including GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L), Merck (MRK.N), Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ.N) Crucell and Sanofi-Aventis' (SASY.PA) Sanofi Pasteur, should help the alliance narrow a $3.7 billion funding gap for its commitments up until 2015.

GSK said on Monday it would provide its Rotarix rotavirus vaccine to GAVI at a 67 percent discount to the current public price -- bringing it to $2.50 per dose, or $5 to fully immunise a child. Merck said it will offer its Rotateq rotavirus shot at $5.00 a dose initially. "The RotaTeq price will decrease to $3.50 once the purchase volume increases to 30 million doses," it said.

Julie Gerberding, president of Merck Vaccines, said long-term purchase commitments help to speed up availability of vaccines. 1.

SANE Vax translation on Gerberding’s statement: Cash flow is tight since vaccine sales are down and volume is needed to maintain cash flow.

Meanwhile Bill Gates jumped on the ‘bleeding heart’ bandwagon attempting to raise an additional $3.7 billion to boost immunization uptake among children in the world's poorest countries. According to the HuffPost Tech article also dated June 6 – Group wants billions to boost vaccines for poorest: 2.

A global vaccine group backed by Microsoft tycoon Bill Gates has asked donors for $3.7 billion to boost immunization among children in the world's poorest countries.

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization says it needs the money to fund the rollout of new drugs for 243 million children through 2015.

On the other side of the world, Pharmabiz (India’s most comprehensive Pharma portal) reported declining pharmaceutical sales. According to an article posted on June 6, 2011 Leading 15 global pharma majors suffer setback in 2010, net falls by over 20% 2. (NOTE: the very same day as the US media trumpeted Pharma companies as compassionate humanitarians.)

The top 15 global pharmaceutical companies suffered a major setback in their working during the year ended December 2010. The operations of these companies affected mainly on account of stiff competition from generics, expiry of their patented products, restrictive healthcare policies and failure in creating breakthrough drugs, as per a Pharmabiz study.

The article went on to state ‘the net profit of 15 global companies declined sharply by 20.1 per cent to $85,955 million in 2010 from $107,595 million in the previous year with major setback for Merck, Bristol-Myers and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)’ noting that the net profit of the three companies declined between 68 and 93%.

The Pharmabiz article backs up the ‘Walmart’ theory of economics by stating:

‘…the cost of production of 15 companies increased by 16.6 per cent to $172 billion during 2010 and their selling, marketing & administration cost moved up 12.3 per cent to $175 billion from $156 billion in the previous year. R&D expenditure went up by 15.5 per cent to $89 billion from $77 billion. However, the provision for taxation declined by 11.3 per cent to $23 billion from $26 billion.’

UNICEF also upset Pharma’s apple cart when the organization disclosed and posted actual prices paid to individual drug companies for 16 vaccines purchased over the last 10 years. According to a May 28, 2011 Huffington Post article Vaccine Prices Disclosed by UNICEF for First Time: 3.

It's a move that a few Western pharmaceutical companies don't support. Novartis AG and Merck & Co., which only sells one of its many children's vaccines to UNICEF, both declined to have their prices published.

UNICEF said it will continue to disclose pricing of future vaccine deals, with the hope that the transparency will push drugmakers to cut prices and thus allow the organization to vaccinate more children and save more lives.

While under-developed nations may be the beneficiaries of cost-effective or free vaccine programs – they are also the countries with the least reliable tracking systems and the least education about potential vaccine adverse reactions and deaths.

It is shameful that Pharma and government-funded vaccine programs are preying on innocent people in the dubious name of ‘safe vaccine practices’ while they continue to reap billions in sales. In a world of ‘informed consent,’ this is not acceptable.

However, the noose is tightening around the vaccine industry gravy train as medical consumers around the world become aware of the scientific evidence indicating this runaway train may be responsible for destroying the health and well being of millions of people.

SaneVax Introduces One More Cervarix Girl: Lara from Wales

Lara’s story is but another in the line of tragedies following GlaxoSmithKline’s “Armed for Life” marketing campaign for Cervarix. Unfortunately, she has joined the group of 'One More Injured or Gone After HPV Vaccination.'

PRLog (Press Release) – Jan 28, 2011 – Prior to Cervarix, Lara was every mother’s dream child. She didn’t cry, finished her bottles in the blink of an eye and was always smiling. As she grew, she began to remind people of the “energizer bunny.” She was always on the go, participating in every physical activity she could find. Lara rode bicycles, roller skated, played football, basketball, hockey, and rode horses. She enjoyed walking on the beach, surfing and swimming. Lara was constantly surrounded by friends and admirers of all ages. On top of all this, at only 13 years old, Lara knew what she wanted to do with her life – she was going to become a forensic pathologist. She worked very hard in school and her performance record showed it. In short, she was a girl who would make any mother proud.

Enter Cervarix. On 13 October 2008, Lara received her first injection of the HPV vaccine Cervarix. The day went without incident. Lara had no adverse reaction. Unfortunately, that was not the case with her second injection.

Shortly after her second jab, 17 November 2008, Lara started feeling very ill. She had a high temperature, sore throat, headaches, joint pain, and extreme tiredness. It seemed all of her energy was gone. Lara’s mom took her to the GP who put her on some medication to control the symptoms and sent her home. After a few weeks, she was able to go back to school.

Even though the package insert for Cervarix clearly states that further injections should not take place when an adverse reaction is experienced, Lara was administered the third and final injection on 31 March 2009. Shortly after, her perfect world began to fall apart. Lara woke up the morning after her third injection not feeling well. Her symptoms began with a very high temperature and difficulty walking. She lost her voice. Being the responsible student she was, she tried valiantly to attend classes. After three days, she could no longer handle it and had to stay home.

That was only the beginning of Lara’s new medical conditions. She started to experience extreme sensitivity to light. For days, she would have to sit in a darkened room because light hurt her eyes so badly. Things started to smell unusual, she began to lose her hair, had terrible headaches, and neck pain. Lara had trouble walking. Her legs just would not do what she wanted them to do. At times, she could not even keep her balance when she was sitting down. Probably the most disturbing symptom was the unexplained weight loss.
When Lara started losing weight, her mom put her on a high calorie diet. In spite of all Lara ate, she still lost 3 stones (42 pounds) over the next few months. Lara is living a nightmare.

During this time, Lara was taken to eight different doctors at two different hospitals. Lara has been admitted to the hospital several times, but no one seemed to know what was happening to her. Frequently, she was prescribed painkillers, told she must have a virus and sent home. At various other times, her mom was told she was bulimic, just seeking attention, on drugs, or that it was all in her head. At least once, her mom was accused of being paranoid, the equivalent of Munchausen by proxy. Lara has now been diagnosed with CFS/ME, chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis. Although there are many potential causes of this condition, one recognized possible cause is a vaccine-reaction.

Lara’s mom has been forced to watch as her daughter’s life is being ripped away. She has watched as her daughter transformed from the healthy, happy creature you see in the photo above, to a mere shadow of her former self. Mom has had to sit by and listen as her daughter cries out in pain, even in her sleep. Mom is forced to watch her daughter try to complete her education at home because she was too ill to attend regular classes for an entire year. Worst of all, mom has had to face the unspeakable agony of hearing her daughter ask why the doctors cannot ‘put her down’ like they do animals when they are in pain.

Today, Lara is back in school but can only attend about half of the time. Sometimes, her mother has to physically carry her to school because she collapses on the way. Her teachers have agreed to modify her schedule and concentrate on classes that lead her toward her goal of becoming a forensic pathologist. Lara is still determined to reach her goal. She is just having an extremely difficult time doing it.

Lara has stopped socializing. She lives in self-imposed isolation. She is frustrated that she cannot just live her life the way it was. Every day her mother wonders what the future really holds for her beautiful young daughter. She faces every day in fear of losing her pride and joy.

Lara’s mom wants to tell everyone, “Do not take the huge step of vaccinating your child with Cervarix without doing your research. You need to know the potential risks, as well as the potential benefits before you decide. You can always vaccinate, but once it is done -- you cannot change your mind.”

Gardasil Risks Magnified for Sexually Active Women and Expectant Mothers

In the face of increasing reports of adverse events and death rates that are 400% higher than other vaccines, Merck continues to maintain that its controversial Gardasil vaccine is safe and continues to push for wider use.

Jan 19, 2011 – One group Merck would especially like to gain approval for is older women (currently, the vaccine is not approved for women over 27 years old). Despite Merck's claims to the contrary, studies have actually shown that Gardasil and its sister vaccine Cervarix (from GlaxoSmithKline) provide no protection for women already exposed to the HPV virus and in fact present highly elevated risks for already exposed women as well as for expectant mothers.

The more sexually active a woman is, the greater the chances she will become exposed to HPV viruses. Likewise, the older a woman is the more sexual encounters she will likely have had and thus the greater the risk of HPV exposure. Information provided for the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC) in May 2006 revealed that when the vaccine is administered to a woman with a dormant or harmless form of HPV, the virus can become activated, increasing the likelihood of precancerous lesions developing by a staggering 44.6 percent.

Not one to let negative study results stand in the way of a highly profitable cash cow drug (see Vioxx), Merck decided that the groups in the study were "unbalanced" and played with the figures to eliminate women who were at higher risk to begin with. After the figure juggling the added risk was estimated to be only 11 percent.

Merck initially reported to the FDA that "it is not known whether Gardasil can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman" and continues to downplay risks for expectant mothers. However, studies have shown that pregnant women have a higher risk for adverse reactions, including miscarriages. The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) has reported 45 cases of spontaneous abortion, or miscarriage, following vaccination with Gardasil. At the time the vaccine was approved, five babies had been born with congenital birth defects after their mothers had been immunized with Gardasil, as opposed to a placebo group that had zero. Later reports put the number of birth defects in the vaccinated group closer to 40.

The risks to already exposed women and expectant mothers are magnified by the fact that there are no screenings recommended for existing HPV viruses or pregnancy – despite clear evidence of increased dangers and no protection. As the small print on the Cervarix product insert states: "Cervarix does not prevent HPV-related lesions in women infected with HPV 16 or HPV 18 at the time of vaccination and has not been shown to have a therapeutic effect."

As previously reported, Merck’s studies on Gardasil safety have been skewed from the outset due to using a “loaded” placebo. Instead of a normal saline solution, Merck removed only the HPV virus from their vaccine and thus used a placebo which contained such dangerous components as aluminum, polysorbate 80 and sodium borate.

Merck's promotion and defense of Gardasil are reminiscent of their previous blockbuster drug Vioxx. It took years and ultimately upwards of 60,000 deaths before Vioxx was finally pulled from the market. During the same time Merck was touting Vioxx's safety, it was also hiding and doctoring negative study results and paying doctors for signatures on papers ghost-written by Merck.

What you won’t see Merck reporting is the fact that nearly all cases of HPV are actually self-limiting. In other words, unless there is a weakened immune system, the body fixes HPV viruses all by itself.

15,000 Reasons to Support One More Girl Documentary Reporting on Gardasil Vaccine Injury and Death

As reports of injury and death related to the Gardasil HPV Vaccine continue to rise, a documentary is being developed to tell the story from the eyes of the victims and the parents. The Truth About Gardasil will soon be revealed.

The goal is to reach 30,000 signatures and to send a strong message to President Barack Obama, his Administration, Congress and the world “to investigate the expedited licensing and universal use recommendation by federal health agencies that all girls aged 11-12 years old and young women up to age 26 receive three doses of Gardasil. The petition on behalf of families is urging the President and Congress to take action to minimize the human and economic costs of Gardasil vaccination for individuals and the public in order to protect the lives of Americans who trust the government to ensure that vaccines licensed for public use are safe, effective and necessary.”

SANEVax is reporting that as of January 15, there are now 21,171 adverse reactions and 91 deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. This is an estimated 1 to 10% of injuries and deaths reported. The United States government needs to know that medical consumers are demanding that an independent study be conducted on the safety and efficacy of Gardasil before the vaccine damages one more adolescent girl or boy.

“Gardasil, One Less Victim of Cervical Cancer?” France says ‘NO’ as they ban Gardasil ads

France says the award winning advertising campaign for Gardasil is false and misleading. The Sanevax Team wants to know - Where was the press coverage when this happened? Why did no one break the news to the public?

Jan 04, 2011 – Amidst all of the media hype surrounding HPV vaccines, the traditional press has remained silent on many critical issues, not the least of which occurred on the 31 of August 2010 in France. As of that date, Merck’s marketing partner for the HPV vaccine Gardasil, Sanofli-Pasteur, was officially prohibited from advertising Gardasil for cervical cancer prevention in France.

According to public documentation, the Director General of the French Agency for Safety of Health Products (AFSSAPS) found the sponsor of several Gardasil ads to be in direct violation of the French public health code.

These violations included, but were not limited to:

* Claiming longer efficacy than was actually proven: The ads stated an 8.5 year efficacy period when, in fact, “the only data of validated efficacy of GARDASIL in the WMA is limited to a maximum assessment of the effectiveness of 4.5 years…..”

* Making false claims: The ads in question replaced the officially approved use of Gardasil for the “prevention of low-grade lesions (cervical dysplasia and vulvar)” with statements indicating Gardasil be used for “the prevention of premalignant genital lesions (cervical uterus, vulva and vagina), cancers of the cervix and external genital warts…..”

*More false claims: According to the French Committee on Immunization Practices (CTV) and the High Council of Public Health (HCSP), “the vaccine’s impact on the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer will only become apparent in the long term, in fifteen to twenty-five years….”

With these and other violations in mind, the Director of AFSSAPS stepped up to the plate and prohibited Sanofli-Pasteur from advertising Gardasil as a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer in France.

The SaneVax Team would like to formally thank the French government for examining the situation and taking appropriate action. We sincerely hope governments around the world follow your example and prohibit pharmaceutical companies from continuing to mislead medical professionals and consumers by distorting data and making claims of facts where none exist.

The SaneVax Team would also like to know why this story was not covered by any of our traditional press counterparts. Where are all of the investigative journalists in the world? One has to wonder.

A Gardasil Girl – A Mother Speaks Out

“My daughter, Victoria, has been ill since February 2008. She had her first Gardasil vaccination November 2007. Her second vaccination was in the beginning of February 2008. Immediately after her second vaccination, Victoria experienced severe diarrhea, vomiting and was nauseous for about eight weeks. She had blood work done many times and doctors thought it was just a virus. On March 31, 2008, she had her first seizure.

My daughter has had several CT scans, MRI’s, MRA’s, EEG’s, blood work and was hospitalized at an epilepsy center in the video EEG monitoring unit for two separate weeks in May 2008 and September 2008. She attempted to undergo a spinal tap in September 2009, but doctors were unable to obtain any fluid. On November 11, 2009, she underwent a lumbar puncture with fluoroscopy. She was put on many different seizure medications, however, after normal EEG results, she was taken off all medications. Her SED rate was high and she did have protein in her urine, but doctors do not seem concerned. I was told that her red blood are small and that she may have Thalasemia, but this apparently is not concerning either.

My daughter has been seen by several neurologists, a psychiatrist, psychologist, several neuropsychologists, an immunologist, several infectious disease doctors, and also treated a at Wellness Center for a period of time. My daughter currently experiences the following symptoms: non-epileptic seizures, severe jerking movements of her whole body, especially her mouth and extremities, migraines, fainting, tremors, twitches, numbness, intermittent leg paralysis, hand/arm paralysis and facial paralysis, tingling, staring or blank episodes, eye pain, joint pain, neck pain, back pain, memory loss, confusion, brain fog, regression, mood swings and severe chronic fatigue. She continues to have bouts of nausea and diarrhea and stomach pain. She has not been in school since April 2008. My daughter cannot be left home alone. She cannot go to school, go out with her friends or work or has little “normalcy” in her life. She has very few good days and always says she doesn’t feel good. Victoria should have graduated high school in June 2009 and would have been enrolled in college.

I do not know which way to turn for help. We have seen so many doctors and I can’t seem to find anyone willing to help my daughter. There are so many other young girls who have the same exact symptoms as my daughter and the one thing that all of the girls seem to have in common is the Gardasil vaccination. Many doctors are all over the country are beginning to question the safety and also the effectiveness of the vaccine. Other “doctor” are willing to “try” treatment, most of which is “homeopathic” in nature and extremely costly.

Once again, I must reiterate that there are so many other young girls experiencing negative symptoms.

Each day, I cry and wonder if Victoria will be next one to die from adverse reactions to Gardasil.

14 – Year Old Girl Posts Question about Potential Gardasil Adverse Reaction - VAERS Data on HPV Vaccine Injuries Available at SANEVax.org

On December 30, a Google Alert on Gardasil picked up a post from a 14 year old girl concerned about her onset of severe headaches after receiving the vaccine on a week to 10 days earlier.

I have throbbing headaches, just on my right side.

I got the shot on my left and I got another one on right (I can’t remember what it was called). I just took 3 ibuprofens and it will slowly go away, but it comes back sometimes. But before I go the shots, I never honestly got headaches like this. Is this normal, or should I go see a Doctor? BTW I’m 14.

There are many issues surrounding this post that SANEVax, Inc. would like to address.

First and foremost, what would motivate this adolescent girl to post this question? Fear? Imagine this young woman alone on her computer – suffering from severe headaches – unsure of adverse reactions to not only one – but a second vaccine whose name she cannot remember– or combination thereof…that is causing her so much distress and prompting her to send a post out to cyberspace – hoping to get a response.

The second and even more important question – how many other girls are living in silence with the same fears/concerns and not knowing where to turn?

The third question is – how do you let a young girl know she may be experiencing a life-threatening condition? Many of the girls who died suddenly, unexpectedly; literally dropping dead complained of severe headaches.

In December 2008, Anabelle Morin’s mother found the teenage girl unconscious in the bathtub of their home. Just days earlier, the teenager had received her second dose of Gardasil, which vaccinates against the HPV virus, a sexually-transmitted infection that can be a precursor to cervical cancer.

And the other obvious questions: Where are her parents? Are they listening, concerned – educated about potential HPV adverse reactions? How will her doctor respond – “it is all in your head;” (literally), but a response that so many other girls and their families suffering from adverse reactions are getting from their primary care providers.

Obviously, this innocent adolescent does not know about VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) – and she is one of the 90 to 99% not reporting their symptoms.

Why are we subjecting adolescent girls to such fear, horror and potential health damages that may affect them for years to come? Where is the justice? Where is the rationale?

New reports in early December focused on the failure of girls to finish the vaccine series….raising speculation of race disparity, and the speculation that clinic visits for contraception might have increased the opportunity for vaccination.

In a single-institution retrospective analysis, only 14% of girls and young women completed all three doses within seven months of the first, and only 28% did so within 12 months, according to Lea Widdice, MD, of the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and colleagues.

Here is the disclaimer….and the kicker…

Limitations in the available data meant that the researchers were not able to measure other factors that might affect completion, including patient refusal of vaccination owing to previous adverse effects, or patient, parent, or provider attitudes about vaccination.

SANEVax believes surveying the girls not finishing the HPV vaccine series is imperative. To not do so is negligence on the part of the care providers, the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies.

To underscore the importance of this data collection, the SANEVax Team has worked long hours researching and compiling data from VAERS on multiple post-vaccination adverse reactions adolescent girls are experiencing. We are well aware VAERS is cumbersome and many do not have the time to research the data base themselves. We feel the information provides compelling evidence of the need to further examine the safety of HPV vaccines.

It is our intent to use this data to inform care providers, and the public about the potential severity of adverse reactions. The FDA and CDC are well aware of the information posted on VAERS – and the data is being monitored. SANEVax believes it is time that people know the truth about the adverse reactions. If we cannot get our government to listen to our concerns we will use the media to share raise awareness of the seriousness of the HPV vaccine travesty.
