Naomi, Australia: Prior to Gardasil, Naomi was a happy, healthy 25 year old completing her Bachelor’s degree while working full-time in administration. She was about to embark on a Post Graduate Degree in Journalism. Despite being kept busy by work and study, she found the time to go out with friends and dance at their favorite club almost every weekend.
During 2008 and 2009, Naomi’s health mysteriously began to deteriorate into a myriad of inexplicable symptoms including dizziness, nausea, joint pain, a collapsing knee, loss of balance, chronic fatigue and weakness.
Even though she visited a multitude of health professionals, including both general practitioners and specialists, who performed a broad range of tests; no one was able to say what was wrong with her.
Tests confirmed an autoimmune reaction and an MRI showed some demyelination in Naomi’s brain similar to that experienced by MS patients. However, nothing was definitive. She was given pain killers and steroids, but no real explanation.

Just prior to Christmas in 2009, Naomi by chance read an article in the newspaper about a possible link between Gardasil and multiple sclerosis.
She collected her medical file and created a timeline. It showed that her symptoms had begun within weeks of receiving her first vaccination. The onset of the worst symptoms coincided with the receipt of her last vaccination. Immediately, she began to research on the internet. What she discovered was a plethora of other girls with stories just like hers.
Fourteen months after her last vaccination, Naomi is still on steroids. She was forced to discontinue her post graduate studies. She is unable to work full time and sometimes unable to work at all. Naomi still experiences daily symptoms including chronic fatigue and some neurological difficulties.
Despite maintaining a brave face throughout the Gardasil ordeal, Naomi feels like a shadow of who she once was or, could have been.

We read with great interest the analysis by Mello et al.(1) on how Merck & Co., Inc. (Merck) influenced state human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination policymaking. The exclusive reliance on Merck for scientific information on behalf of the legislators is unfortunate, especially in the light of independent research which has repeatedly warned that drug companies may manipulate clinical trial designs and subsequent data analysis and reporting to make their drugs look better and safer.(2-4) Indeed, careful scrutiny of Gardasil clinical trials shows that their design, as well as data reporting and interpretation, were largely inadequate.(4-6) (Am J Public Health. The Refusers: Vaccine Protest Music Gone Viral

The first public performance of a now quite controversial rock band was in July 2010 at the American Rally for Personal Rights. In the tradition of protest songs during civil rights and anti-war movements, The Refusers presented their protest music as a tribute to vaccine-injury victims past, present and future.

Michael Belkin and his band use a unique musical style they have dubbed ‘Innoc-You-Rock’ to focus listeners’ attention on controversial vaccine issues. Their hard-hitting lyrics provide a direct counterpoint to what they see as “government issued vaccine propaganda and the current medical establishment’s policy of vaccinate first, ask questions later.”

The Refusers’ name was chosen in direct response to the American Medical Association’s position on informed consent, which says:

“Your patient should have an opportunity to ask questions to elicit a better understanding of the treatment or procedure, so that he or she can make an informed decision to proceed or to refuse a particular course of medical intervention.”

Michael Belkin categorically states, “The AMA’s position on informed consent does not say ‘except vaccines.’ Vaccination choice is a fundamental human right. Any doctor who fails to inform you about the risks associated with vaccines, or who contends you do not have the right to refuse vaccination is violating their own medical code of ethics.”

What motivated Mr. Belkin to organize his vaccination protest band?

Flashback fourteen years: Michael is a successful, self-employed quantitative strategist happily married to the woman of his dreams. Lyla Rose was born with no complications – a healthy, happy baby girl. At five weeks of age, she is taken for a check-up and a booster shot of Hepatitis B vaccine. 15 hours later, Michael’s baby girl was gone.

Michael states that although the coroner initially stated Lyla’s brain was swollen (encephalitis), the cause of death ultimately ruled as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The swollen brain and the hepatitis B vaccine were not mentioned in the final autopsy report.

Knowing that SIDS is a diagnosis of exclusion and brain inflammation is not SIDS, Michael’s research began. He discovered the following quote from Merck’s Home Health Manual:

Encephalitis can occur in the following ways:

• A virus directly infects the brain.
• A virus that caused an infection in the past becomes reactivated and directly damages the brain.
• A virus or vaccine triggers a reaction that makes the immune system attack brain tissue (an autoimmune reaction).

Michael found himself attending any applicable government meeting he could. He attended a workshop at the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine on “Neo-Natal Death and the Hepatitis B Vaccine” and an Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting on the safety of the hepatitis B vaccine. He obtained the entire VAERS database on hepatitis B adverse events reports and investigated it thoroughly.

In May of 1999, seven months after the tragic loss of his daughter, Michael Belkin presented the following testimony to Congress:

Michael continues to work within the system to promote vaccine safety and preserve the right to vaccine choice for many years. Although he experiences some small successes, Michael ultimately gets to the point where he feels he is beating his head against a brick wall. Those in charge of vaccination rules, regulations and policy-making just do not seem to care. Tired and wanting to return to a somewhat normal life, Michael takes some time off from vaccine safety and consent issues.

During his respite, he witnesses the development and marketing of several additional vaccines. He watches the autism rate climb to a previously unheard of level. He witnesses a substantial increase in the size of the VAERS database. He witnesses the increase in chronic and debilitating diseases in young people throughout the United States.

Michael went on to have two healthy unvaccinated children. He witnessed apartheid-like exclusionary policies being instituted against children whose parents chose to try and preserve their health and well-being. He witnessed people losing their jobs because they decided one vaccine or another was not in their best interest. He witnessed schools, daycares, and even medical professionals exclude people based on their vaccination status.

Michael Belkin decided enough was enough. The only option left was to take his message to the streets via a medium that might catch the attention of the average American medical consumer. Michael, his 11-year old unvaccinated son Sebastian, Steve Newton and Joey Walbaum decided to use their musical talents organize a protest band that would publicly stand up for everyone’s right to refuse vaccination.

The Refusers take great pride in their young drummer, Sebastian Belkin – a real deal healthy refuser – and visible proof that the unvaccinated are not the threat to public health and safety they are being portrayed as. Sebastian is the epitome of a normal healthy young man, not to mention talented.

Their strategy appears to be working. The Refusers first video, shown below, has officially gone viral with over 280,000 views. First Do No Harm, is also the title cut of the band’s soon to be released CD.

Michael Belkin and The Refusers have obviously found an effective way to get their message to those who need to hear it.

Gardasil: Safe, Affordable, Necessary and Effective is not too much to ask for.

The traditional media seems to overlook the fact that all of the victims of severe adverse reactions after HPV vaccines were originally trusting medical consumers who were simply following their doctor’s advice. They listened to the professionals when told that Gardsil or Cervarix vaccines could save their daughters from being a victim of cervical cancer. They were certainly not anti-vaccine, or they would not be in the position they are in now. This is the story of one of those families.

February 2009, at 14 years of age, Raquel received her second injection of Gardasil. A few hours later she was in a coma battling for her life. See her original story here.

It’s been over three years since Raquel suffered severe adverse effects after the second dose of Gardasil. She and her family suffered for two years wondering if they would ever see an end to her illness.

Now, they would like to let everyone who has been battling similar events that
Raquel is recovered! All of her neurological exams are now normal. She has not yet been discharged from hospital visits, but she leads a normal life.

With great effort she has completed her studies. Much to her credit, she has decided to continue school next year to become a nurse. Raquel wants to dedicate her life to healing others who have suffered like her.

Raquel’s parents have been beside her every step of the way during her long and arduous recovery. They believe all experiences in life, even very harmful, help us to find our way. They believe Raquel’s illness helped her find her vocation.

Raquel realizes that she is a lucky young woman. She could have been confined to a wheelchair indefinitely, but is not. With the assistance of doctors who attended her and the unconditional support of her family, she has overcome her illness.

Perhaps the most difficult thing for her parents to overcome was the helplessness of seeing how Health Authorities and some doctors wanted to dismiss her side effects to the vaccine as psychological, incidental, or coincidence.

Raquel and her family relied on Health Authorities when they decided to take the vaccine. To them, it is incredible and incomprehensible that the Health Authorities did not care about Raquel´s health after she suffered what was obviously an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

They now know their daughter will have a bright and happy future. They also know it could have very easily not turned out so well. They count themselves among the lucky ones.

Are Raquel’s parents vaccine safety advocates? You bet they are! They now dedicate a substantial amount of time and effort in an attempt to make sure what happened to their daughter never happens to another child. They encourage parents to do their research before they decide whether or not a vaccine is right for their children. They do not want anyone else to have to go through the horrors their family did for the last three years.

Raquel’s mother has a personal message to other vaccine-injury victims:

“I would like to tell all young people concerned to be patient. As long as there is life, never give up. If a treatment is not working, try something else. There are medical professionals out there who care about your health. I wish you strength and hope.”

SaneVax Writes Open Letter to Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health: Rescind approval of Gardasil® due to lack of efficacy during post-licensure monitoring

According to a recently published, industry-sponsored study conducted on 12,852 young women, HPV vaccination was found to reduce HPV-16 infections a mere 0.6% in vaccinated women versus unvaccinated women. At the same time, other high-risk (carcinogenic) HPV infections were diagnosed in vaccinated women 2.6% to 6.2% more frequently than in the unvaccinated women. The increased rate of infections caused by carcinogenic HPV types other than those targeted by Gardasil® in vaccinated women is 4 to 10 times higher than the reduction in HPV 16/18 infections.[1]

These statistics are not exactly encouraging when it comes to demonstrating efficacy for Gardasil®. In fact, quite the opposite – these figures seem to indicate that women who receive Gardasil® may indeed increase their risk of developing cervical cancer from high-risk HPV types that are not targeted by the vaccine.

Medical consumers cannot afford to take the chance of increasing their risk of contracting a disease that has been virtually eradicated by good gynecological care in the United States (cervical cancer) by taking a series of HPV vaccines and hoping they will find out decades later the vaccine worked. It is certainly not a risk children should have to take.

Armed with the knowledge that any drug approved under the FDA’s accelerated approval process using a surrogate endpoint, such as Gardasil®, requires post-marketing studies “to verify and describe the drugs clinical benefit and to resolve remaining uncertainty as to the relation of the surrogate endpoint upon which approval was based to clinical benefit…[2],” the SaneVax Team felt compelled to appeal to the person in charge of FDA/CDC oversight, Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services.

On 31 January 2012, SaneVax Inc. sent an open letter to Ms Sebelius[3] asking her to rescind approval for Gardasil® based on the lack of efficacy demonstrated in the ATHENA study referenced above.

If the Department of Health and Human Services is truly interested in public health and safety, they will do the right thing and rescind Gardasil® approval until the manufacturer can provide scientifically sound data proving this new drug is actually effective.

In the meantime, medical consumers around the globe have a choice. Is poke and hope good enough for you and your children? Or, are you going to demand scientific proof of efficacy before submitting to HPV vaccination?

In response to the recent announcement by SANE Vax Inc. of the discovery of genetically modified HPV DNA residue in multiple vials of Gardasil, the FDA posted the following page on their site, FDA Information on Gardasil – Presence of DNA Fragments Expected, No Safety Risk. The FDA lists several ‘key facts’ in an obvious attempt to allay any fears which may have arisen over the discovery of foreign DNA in yet another ‘safe and effective’ vaccine. Unfortunately, these ‘key facts’ raise more questions than answers.

In spite of the fact the FDA claims their mission is, helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines, there are no scientific references and no indication that these ‘key facts’ are anything more than damage control statements. American medical consumers deserve better from an agency funded by taxpayers and entrusted with the mission of being responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices…… (FDA mission statement)

According to the Consumer Justice Group, in the last 27 years, there have been 31 drugs approved ‘safe and effective’ by the FDA which were subsequently withdrawn from the market due to safety concerns not uncovered during clinical trials. No one will ever know the true cost in human suffering resulting from adverse reactions to these 31 FDA approved ‘safe and effective’ medications.

Medical consumers worldwide are not willing to risk their children’s health and perhaps their very lives on a vaccine that ‘might’ prevent cancer 20 to 30 years down the road. Parents are not willing to wait until the adverse events post Gardasil vaccination reaches the same numbers as Vioxx did before the vaccine is withdrawn from the market.

Medical consumers around the world are no longer willing to accept the FDA’s ‘word’ when it comes to HPV vaccines and their children’s health and safety. They are demanding scientific proof of the claims made by the FDA and vaccine manufacturers.

FDA ‘Key Facts,’ and questions raised by SANE Vax Inc. on behalf of medical consumers:

Gardasil does contain recombinant HPV L1-specific DNA fragments, but these are not contaminants. DNA encoding the HPV L1 gene is used in the vaccine manufacturing process to produce the virus-like particles that make up the vaccine. The presence of these DNA fragments is expected, is not a risk to vaccine recipients, and is not a safety factor. DNA is the “blueprint” for the majority of living organisms and carries the genetic instructions for how cells function and grow.
Do these ‘expected’ DNA fragments contain plasmid?
Please explain why, if these HPV rDNA fragments are ‘expected,’ why did the manufacturer have to invent a patented process to remove them?
Please provide the DNA sequences of all ‘expected’ HPV DNA fragments in the vaccine.
Provide copies of all scientific studies that prove these DNA fragments are ‘not a risk to vaccine recipients.’
Do the above referenced studies include studies regarding the potential safety concerns of these ‘expected’ DNA fragments being tightly bound to aluminum hydroxyphosphate micro-particles?
The vaccine manufacturing process is highly regulated under FDA’s current good manufacturing practice requirements, including inspections conducted by FDA of the manufacturing processes and facilities.
Please publish all reports of FDA inspections of the four manufacturing facilities from which the Gardasil samples tested at Milford Medical Laboratory originated since Gardasil’s FDA approval, including the DNA sequences of the detectable residual HPV DNA molecules and the quantity of total HPV DNA per Gardasil dose.
Since the early development of Gardasil, FDA and the manufacturer (Merck and Co., Inc.) have known that after purification of the vaccine, small quantities of residual recombinant HPV L1-specific DNA fragments remain in the vaccine. Gardasil does not contain DNA from other HPV genes or any full-length infectious HPV genomes.
If Merck and Co., Inc. and the FDA knew small quantities of residual recombinant HPV L1-specific DNA fragments remain in Gardasil, why do marketing and information packets from around the world specifically state the vaccine contains ‘no viral DNA’?
Please publish the manufacturer’s dated report, stating the acceptable quantities and the sequences of the residual recombinant HPV L1-specific DNA fragments that remain in the vaccine.
Is the FDA aware that injected naked microbial or viral DNA need not be either full-length or ‘infectious’ to potentially cause a health problem?
As it does with all vaccines, FDA continues to monitor the safety of Gardasil. For example, FDA recently evaluated the results of a postmarketing study, which included 189,629 females ages 9 to 26 years, 51% of whom were 9 to 15 years of age to assess the risk for onset of new autoimmune diseases after vaccination with Gardasil. Examples of these types of diseases include juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, etc. The results of this study showed that there is no elevated risk for onset of new autoimmune disease associated with the use of Gardasil.
Did the 189,629 females selected for postmarketing study include cases reported to VAERS?
Is the FDA aware there are 75 vaccines approved for use in the United States and for the first five years after the approval of HPV vaccines, adverse events reported after HPV vaccinations account for a full 16% of the entire VAERS database? See the analysis here.
Why does this fact not raise a red flag prompting an investigation?
FDA also continually reviews all reports of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System after vaccination with Gardasil, and there is no evidence of unusual clinical patterns or high reporting rates of adverse events, including autoimmune diseases.
Is the FDA aware of the fact that out of 75 FDA approved vaccines, adverse injury reports post-HPV vaccination account for the following percentages of VAERS reports for all vaccines?
24% of all life-threatening events
26% of all emergency room visits
25% of all hospitalizations
33% of all extended hospital stays
36% of all disabling events
Why do the above statistics, verifiable here, not raise a red flag requiring investigation?
Did the FDA consider cases of immune-based acute disseminated encephalomyelitis after Gardasil injections (1-7) evidence of unusual clinical patterns? If not, why not?
Medical consumers around the globe are asking the same questions. They will no longer accept semantics games, changing definitions, or public relations statements. Medical consumers demand scientific evidence.

If the FDA is actually protecting the public health, there should be no problem providing scientific documentation answering the questions above. Anything less than full compliance is a betrayal of the public trust, not to mention a violation of the public’s right to informed consent. Notions of equal treatment should be cast aside under the circumstances–can the FDA really support exposing our boys to these significant health risks?

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 14, 2011 – When the Monday night CNN / Tea Party Express Republican candidates’ presidential debate turned to the constitutionality of healthcare mandates, Representative Bachmann voiced her opinion as the mother of three daughters and the foster mother for 23 other foster girls when she stated: ‘To have innocent little 12-year old girls be forced to have a government injection through an executive order is just flat out wrong. That’s a violation of a liberty interest.’

On Tuesday morning, Bachmann was interviewed on CNN’s American Morning and shared that a mother approached her after the debate and spoke about the very serious consequences her daughter experienced after getting Gardasil.

Bachmann is speaking for millions of parents who believe that mandating a government injection is wrong. She also spoke about the pressure placed on families by doctors and educators even if there is an ‘opt-out’ clause. According to Bachmann ‘Little girls who have a negative reaction to this potentially dangerous drug don’t get a mulligan. They don’t get a do-over. The parents don’t get a do-over.’ 1

Bachmann also blasted Texas Governor Rick Perry with the question that the parent of every adversely injured child is asking ‘is this [vaccine] about life or millions of dollars?’

Everyone by now knows that Perry retorted that Merck’s political action committee gave his campaign $5,000.

In what year was that Governor Perry? It appears the Merck has donated over $25,000 over the course of Perry’s career: $1,000 in 2000; $5,000 in 2002; $10,000 in 2004; $1,000 in 2005; $5,000 in 2006; $2,500 in 2008 and $5,000 in 2010.1

The figure is actually very low for a state as large as Texas….could it be that donations are being funneled from elsewhere – say from a relatively new biotechnological company in Texas? The comment below was posted to an article written by Ed Silverman of Pharmalot fame titled: “Rick Perry And The Gardasil Controversy, Take Two”

‘Interesting to note that a company in Texas with which Rick Perry has a connection with is Gradalis Inc. Move the letters around and it spells Gardasil. In May 2010, Perry’s office gave $3 million to fund G-Con, another Texas Pharma, owned 10% by Gradalis, Inc. The executives of G-Con and the CEO of Gradalis have all given substantial thousands to Perry’s campaign. It was rumored back in 2007 that Perry made a lot of people wealthy, including his family, by mandating the Gardasil vaccine in the State of Texas. If there is government involvement, there is no free market.’2

Gradalis Inc. is a fully integrated biotechnological company in Dallas Texas that focuses on the development, manufacturing and commercialization of drugs, vaccines, tools and diagnostics, primarily in the area of cancer.3 Gradalis? Gardasil? Hmm…

Damage Control at CNN

Meanwhile, back at CNN Elizabeth Cohen did multiple interviews with the station’s news anchors on the HPV vaccine – it was obvious her job for the day was to emphatically state in every way she could that the HPV vaccines are safe – and any adverse injuries reported from Gardasil including paralysis are ‘coincidental.’ Might one ask how much Merck spends on advertising on CNN –or, the other major media networks, for that matter?4

National media outlets are now quick to jump on the bandwagon as doctors and public health leaders speak out to correct misinformation regarding the safety of HPV vaccines that prevent cervical cancer after Bachmann attacked the vaccines as “dangerous” when she related her conversation with the mother of an adversely injured girl mother who blames the shots for her daughter’s mental retardation.

But, there’s no evidence that the HPV shot — or any other vaccine — causes retardation, says O. Marion Burton, president of the American Academy of Pediatrics.5

Mental retardation is the wrong term – the correct term is ‘brain damage’ from the neurotoxins in the vaccine crossing the blood-brain barrier affecting the endocrine and autoimmune systems.

Merck & Co’s marketing department timing couldn’t have been much worse with their BusinessWire press release Tuesday announcing a new partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. ‘Merck Partners with Susan G. Komen for the Cure(R) on Historic Initiative to Help Address Cervical and Breast Cancer in Developing Nations,’ seemed to do little except cast further doubt on the integrity of the pharmaceutical giant.6

The big bad wolf is hiding once again in sheep’s clothing while portraying their humanitarian interest in partnering with the foundation to disseminate breast and cervical cancer information to women in Africa. According to the release Merck will be contributing ‘$3 million over three years to the Pink Ribbon–Red Ribbon initiative to help address both cervical and breast cancer in sub-Saharan African nations by supporting disease education, screening and treatment efforts as well as increased access to cervical cancer vaccination.”

After one gets over the initial ‘Awww ain’t that nice…’ it becomes pretty clear that Merck is using the foundation to develop new markets for their vaccine in countries where no adequate vaccine injury tracking systems exist, not to mention cervical screening.

Women who supported the Komen Foundation are already speaking out on Facebook. One woman writes: ‘This absolutely disgusts me! My grandmother struggled with breast cancer for years. All contributions from her funeral were donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. How dare these money hungry drug lords attempt to conceal their cruel and merciless intentions by allying with such a wonderful foundation. Completely sickening.’

SANE Vax Inc. agrees with Bachmann when she stated in another interview with CNN after the debate that Perry’s admission that he could have done things differently didn’t change the situation.

“It’s not enough to say, ‘I’m sorry. I was wrong.’ You have to get it right the first time,” Bachmann said.

It is time for medical consumers to be aware that Merck, the FDA, and CDC did not get the HPV vaccine right the first time. The adverse injuries and deaths to innocent previously healthy adolescents took one time…..one decision to get the vaccine series….. and for them there is no turning back either.

We can only move forward now that Bachmann has opened the door and exposed the ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing.’ It is time for their reckoning.

Gardasil victim found to have HPV DNA in her blood 2 Years Post-Vaccination

SANE Vax Inc. contracted with an independent lab to test for contamination and found HPV recombinant DNA (rDNA) in 13 vaccine vials. The Gardasil vials with different lot numbers were from New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Poland, France and three states in the U.S. 100% of the samples tested positive for the presence of the genetically modified HPV DNA.

Dr. Sin Hang Lee, a pathologist at the Milford Hospital pathology laboratory well-known for using cutting-edge DNA sequencing for molecular diagnoses, was initially contracted to examine a single sample of Gardasil for possible contamination. This sample tested positive for recombinant HPV-11 and HPV-18 residues, both of which were firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant.

In a certified letter mailed to FDA Commissioner, Dr. Margaret Hamburg on August 29, 2011, SANE Vax Inc. requested ‘the FDA investigate the extent of the HPV DNA contamination in the Gardasil HPV4 vaccine currently on the market and take appropriate actions to ensure public safety regarding future shipments.’ 1.

Why Did SANE Vax Inc. Investigate Possible Gardasil Contamination?

The mother of a sexually naïve adolescent girl who developed acute onset Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis within 24 hours of her last injection of the Gardasil™ series contacted SANE Vax Inc. looking for more information.

In an effort to help her now very sick daughter the mother went to an MD practicing naturopath who conducted a toxicity test that eventually found HPV DNA in the girl’s blood. The significance of this finding is that it is highly unusual to find HPV DNA in the blood. HPV, if present in the body, exists in the epithelial (skin and mucosa) membranes. HPV or its DNA, by itself does not survive for any great length of time in the bloodstream. Why was the HPV DNA in her bloodstream two years post-vaccination?

Natural vs. Recombinant DNA

According to Dr. Lee, “‘Natural HPV DNA does not remain in the bloodstream for very long. However, the HPV DNA in Gardasil™ is not ‘natural’ DNA. It is a recombinant HPV DNA (rDNA) – genetically engineered – to be inserted into yeast cells for VLP (virus-like-particle) protein production. rDNA is known to behave differently from natural DNA. It may enter a human cell, especially in an inflammatory lesion caused by the effects of the aluminum adjuvant, via poorly understood mechanisms.

“Once a segment of recombinant DNA is inserted into a human cell, the consequences are hard to predict. It may be in the cell temporarily or stay there forever, with or without causing a mutation. Now the host cell contains human DNA as well as genetically engineered viral DNA.”

What is a Recombinant DNA Virus?

Recombinant DNA (rDNA) refers to novel DNA molecules engineered by joining natural or synthetic DNA segments to other DNA molecules so that they can replicate in a living cell. The possibility for these replicable forms of DNA as uncertain toxic substance or as environmental hazard has been a concern since rDNA technology was invented in 1973. Thus, rDNA is considered a potential biohazard, and NIH has mandated that research institutions monitor and regulate its use.2.

All recombinant or genetically engineered DNAs are considered potential biohazards if injected intramuscularly into the body. Merck’s Gardasil™ HPV4 vaccine is administered intramuscularly – as are many other vaccines. However, Gardasil™ is the first vaccine found to be contaminated by a genetically engineered DNA used to manufacture virus-like particle proteins for the vaccine.

SANE Vax Inc. believes the FDA should have required Merck to test for, evaluate and quantify the risks of residual recombinant HPV DNA in Gardasil™ before granting approval for marketing the vaccine. SANE Vax Inc. believes the FDA should require every lot of Gardasil™ be tested for residual HPV DNA prior to shipment.

Gardasil Patient Product Insert Stated No Viral DNA’s in the Vaccine.

In fact, Merck’s Gardasil™ Patient Product Inserts stated that there is ‘no viral DNA’ in the Gardasil vaccine. That is until April 2011 – when the line was glaringly absent from U.S. product inserts. 3.

The European Medicines Agency on line literature still states: ‘Gardasil is an adjuvanted non-infectious recombinant quadrivalent vaccine prepared from the highly purified virus-like particles (VLP’s) of the major capsid L1 protein of HPV types 6, 11, 16 and 18. The VLP’s contain no viral DNA; they cannot infect cells, reproduce or cause the disease.’ 4.

SANE Vax Inc.’s research found that 100% of the 13 samples tested were contaminated with viral HPV DNA residue, including a synthetic construct for HPV11 major capsid protein L1 gene, a recombinant DNA genetically engineered specifically for manufacturing of the Gardasil vaccine. All DNA residue discovered was firmly attached to the insoluble aluminum adjuvant in the vaccine, requiring a new protocol for detection.5

Dr. Lee firmly stated: “Based on medical literature and some of the FDA/Merck’s own publications, adventitious (coming from an outside source) DNA in an injectable protein-based vaccine may increase the risk of autoimmune disorders and gene mutation which may lead to malignancies.”

Merck, the FDA, CDC and the NCI Owe Medical Consumers Answers

SANE Vax Inc. wants to know how many adolescents who have suffered adverse reactions post Gardasil vaccination have HPV DNA in their blood. What are the medical ramifications should HPV DNA remain in the bloodstream for an extended period of time?

Does the aluminum adjuvant become the carrier for HPV DNA causing said DNA to remain in the blood and/or organs for an extended length of time?

Since viral DNA cannot replicate by itself (it needs a host cell) what happens if genetically engineered viral DNA enters a human host cell?

How will this now ‘genetically-engineered cell’ replicate? Will it mutate the host cell leading towards cancer?

How will genetically engineered cells affect the reproductive health of future generations?

How does the immune system react to the detection of a combination viral DNA and human DNA in what was once a ‘normal’ cell? Will the immune system fight the now genetically engineered human cell?

Medical consumers need to have these questions answered by Merck, the FDA, CDC, and NCI.

SANE Vax Inc.’s Position

SANE Vax Inc. believes the FDA and Merck should be transparent and tell medical consumers the potential health impacts the contaminant HPV DNA has brought upon the vaccinated children of the world. High rates of autoimmune disorders, 380 reports of abnormal pap tests, 137 reports of cervical dysplasia, and 41 reports of cervical cancer including Carcinoma in situ or Cervix carcinoma or Cervix carcinoma stage 0 or Cervix carcinoma stage I or Cervix carcinoma stage III 6 warrants an immediate investigation into Gardasil’s™ safety and efficacy.

At the request of medical consumers concerned about HPV vaccine safety and efficacy, SANE Vax Inc. has retained a private laboratory to test a number of samples of HPV 4 Gardasil™ (Merck) for possible contamination by human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in the vaccine lots distributed to physicians.

The laboratory has informed SANE Vax Inc. that one hundred percent of thirteen (13) samples of Gardasil™ taken from lots #1437Z, #1511Z, # 0553AA, #NL35360, #NP23400, #NN33070, #NL01490, #NM25110, #NL39620, #NK16180, #NK00140, #NM08120 and #NL13560, currently being marketed in the U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, and Poland have been found to be positive for HPV DNA.

One of the HPV DNA fragments detected in the vaccine is part of a synthetic construct (GenBank Locus SCU55993) for HPV11 major capsid protein L1 gene, a recombinant DNA genetically engineered specifically for manufacturing of the Gardasil vaccine. Its unique sequence is copied below for your reference.



Because one hundred percent of the samples tested were positive for HPV DNA contamination, SANE Vax Inc. requests the FDA investigate the extent of the HPV DNA contamination in the Gardasil HPV4 vaccine currently on the market and take appropriate actions to ensure public safety regarding future shipments.

The SANE Vax Inc. data, including the electropherograms of short target sequencing used to validate the HPV DNA detected in the thirteen (13) Gardasil samples, each with a different lot number, are available for your review, provided appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the proprietary processes and information utilized by our laboratory to test the samples.

Perry’s Gardasil ‘Mistake’ Cost Girls their Lives

Reneging on Gardasil mandate in the Lone-Star State is an admission of guilt
and should not be forgiven or forgotten.

PRLog (Press Release) – Aug 22, 2011 – According to VAERS analyst and SANE Vax team member Janny Stokvis, Governor Rick Perry should have been aware and taken action on the mounting injuries from Gardasil in Texas before an attempt to mandate the vaccine. VAERS reports one girl died post-Gardasil vaccination, there were 14 life-threatening situations and 31 girls became disabled after Perry’s attempt to issue an executive order. The effort to introduce the drug into Texas schools turned into one of Perry’s greatest defeats. His admission of a ‘mistake’ five years later is reprehensible.

Perry’s order would have become effective in 2008 and girls would be involuntarily immunized unless they ‘opted out’ upon entry to the 6th grade. Texas was the first state to require that schoolgirls get vaccinated against a multi-strain virus to prevent ‘cervical cancer.’ Unfortunately, the National Cancer Institute has not directly linked the virus to cervical cancer.1

Is this poor judgment from a man running for president?

During a 16 month investigation of Gardasil, side effects were documented in a disturbing number of cases to VAERS including 3,589 during a 16 month period.2Even though thousands of girls reported adverse reactions to the vaccine, Perry found no reason to modify or withdraw his executive order. Those numbers have now risen to over 22,000 and yet, it took political posturing for Perry to admit his ‘mistake.’

In addition the executive order mandated that the Department of State Health Services make the HPV vaccine available through the Texas Vaccines for Children program for eligible young females up to age 18, and the Health and Human Services Commission shall make the vaccine available to Medicaid-eligible young females from age 19 to 21. 3

Medicaid? That means that the private sector that refuses to buy into the HPV vaccine scheme would now pay for Merck’s Gardasil hoax.

Is this a man in bed with Big Pharma?

According to VAERS, Texas has had its fair share of reports of adverse reactions:
As of July 12, 2011 the total number HPV vaccine adverse events reported to VAERS is 22,619 – with an estimated 1 to 10% of the HPV vaccine injured population reporting.4

19,170 reports are from the U.S. – 3,127 of those events are from unknown locations.
914 reports out of the 19,170 reports are from Texas. But considering the fact that 3,127 reports have an unknown location, this number could be higher.5

Gardasil Adverse Events in Texas:

• One death report of a 26 year old woman who died Nov 20076
• 67 reports are listed as serious7
• 14 reports of Life threatening situations8
• 433 reports of emergency room visits9
• 45 reports of hospitalization10
• 10 reports extended hospital stay11
• 174 reports where the girls did not recover from their injuries12
• 31 reports of girls now disabled13

Is this a man who ignores his constituency in favor of Big Pharma?

Even after the issuance of the executive order, and the challenge by the Texas Legislature, Perry defended his position. At a press conference, he played a video message from a 31-year old cervical cancer patient hooked to an oxygen tube, who was too sick to testify earlier at the statehouse. Perry declared:

‘I challenge legislators to look these women in the eyes and tell them, `We could have prevented this disease for your daughters and granddaughters, but we just didn’t have the gumption to address all the misguided and misleading political rhetoric…’14

Is this a man who has been corrupted by Big Pharma?

In fact – Rick Perry’s previous Chief of Staff worked as a lobbyist for Merck at the time and Perry and eight other Republican law makers received donations of $6000.00 from Merck lobbyists just a few days before the executive order was issued.

Now that Perry has declared his candidacy for President he told reporters in New Hampshire that he regretted his handling of the vaccine, explaining: “I signed an executive order that allowed for an opt out, but the fact of the matter is that I didn’t do my research well enough to understand that we needed to have a substantial conversation with our citizenry.” Too little – too late, Governor Perry.

SANE Vax Inc. believes that every governor should be looking at the number of Gardasil adverse reactions in their respective states. It is time that other politicians admit their ‘mistakes’ to their constituents as well.

One year later – the SANE Vax message and the research we have compiled has gone global and shared with educators, medical and legal professionals, researchers, journalists and medical consumers world-wide.

Selling advertising to young, innocent, ‘happy-go-lucky’ adolescent girls who never heard the term ‘HPV disease’ before is a blatant fear tactic that is nothing short of unethical and morally reprehensible, not to mention illegal.

In 2006, Merck’s team of marketing gurus created the well-known ‘One-Less Girl’ to get Cervical Cancer Campaign. The campaign was heralded as a brilliant success as little girls jumped up and down in their living rooms singing ‘I am going to be one less girl to get cervical cancer;’ instead many of them became one more girl adversely affected by the Gardasil vaccine.

Merck won numerous television ad honors at the 2008 10th Annual Pharmaceutical Advertising and Marketing Excellence Awards (PhAME) gala event at the prestigious Guggenheim Museum in uptown New York City for the ‘One Less Girl’ campaign. Merck’s marketing techniques even earned Gardasil a "pharmaceutical brand of the year" award from Pharmaceutical Executive for its ‘savvy disease
education,’ and building ‘a market out of thin air.” 1.

Not bad for a vaccine against a virus not yet directly linked to causing cervical cancer, 2 but now associated with 22,194 adverse injuries and 97 deaths by researchers, scientists, medical doctors, and parents around the world.

While the majority of the nearly 200 known types of HPV cause no symptoms in most people, some types can cause warts (verrucae), while others can – in a minority of cases – lead to cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina, and anus in women, or cancers of the anus and penis in men.

In fact, most HPV infections in young females are temporary with little long-term significance. Seventy percent of infections are gone in 1 year and ninety percent in 2 years. However, when the infection persists — in 5% to 10% of infected women — there is high risk of developing precancerous lesions of the cervix, which can progress to invasive cervical cancer. This process usually takes 15–20 years, providing many opportunities for detection and treatment of the pre-cancerous lesion. Progression to invasive cancer can be almost always prevented when standard prevention strategies are applied, but the lesions still cause considerable burden necessitating preventive surgeries, which do in many cases involve loss of fertility.3.

Gardasil is a Disease

If Merck’s marketing department can spin the truth in the name of profit – then the SANE Vax team will take the same leeway –in the name of justice – and declare Gardasil a disease.

PRLog (Press Release) – May 18, 2011 – Let’s bypass the usual conversation on arbitrating a price on the value of a person’s life. The Cervarix programme in the United Kingdom may become bankrupt before even saving one woman’s life from cervical cancer.

Freda Birrell, Secretary of SANE Vax Inc. has been communicating with government officials in the United Kingdom for the past two years about the global concerns regarding the safety and efficacy of the HPV vaccines. Unfortunately, it appears the UK government just like the U.S. CDC and FDA – do not perceive the value of their constituent’s lives; nor do they appear to be concerned over the death and injuries of previously healthy adolescent girls in their respective countries. Children are our future! When the government of any country turns their back on them, it is cause for great public concern.

Birrell determined if the life of a child is not valued by the government then it was time to analyze present information they can relate to – in this case a financial investment in a vaccine programme that will cost the UK government billions before a return is seen on their investment. Sad but true.

Birrell and her analytical team have compiled data and graphs from Cancer UK Research on cervical cancer mortality rates in a document titled: HPV 2 Cervarix Economic Costs in the United Kingdom.

The analytical team developed an economic formula to determine the cost of the Cervarix programme to the UK government by using Cancer UK Research data and making basic assumptions on cost of vaccination for targeted demographic per annum. By doing so, they determined how long it will take before perceived benefits/results of the vaccination programme will be apparent. The data translates into a hefty financial subsidy benefiting GlaxoSmithKline, but an alarmingly low rate of return for the UK government and its citizens.

According to Cancer Research UK – female mortality rates from cervical cancer rise slightly between ages 20 to 24 – but do not peak until age 45 to 49 – with the greatest increase in women over the age of 80. (Table 1 & 2)

Cancer Research UK reports mortality rates from cervical cancer decreased from 8.3 deaths per 100,000 in 1971 to 2.4 deaths in 2008. (Table 3)

Analysis assumptions based on available data from Cancer Research UK and the UK government on the vaccination programme follows:

• Total deaths (Cancer Research UK) to age 84 at 837 per year.
• 75% of deaths saved with the vaccination program i.e. 628 per year. *
• Cost per person vaccinated – £200.00 assumed.
• Average no. of vaccinations administered per year (12 year olds) at 378,289.
• The Cancer Research UK deaths/5 year groups have been divided by 5 for an average annual figure of deaths due to cervical cancer.
• JCVI assumes HPV2 Cervarix vaccination efficacy will last 10 years. **
• It will take 73 years to vaccinate a total cycle of the female population (12 year olds to 84 year olds)




* Cervarix vaccine was introduced to protect against HPV 16 & 18, the two viruses associated with 70% of cervical cancer cases. There have been indications that this vaccine may provide additional benefits due to cross-reactivity.

** Booster shots not included in calculations

In a dramatic table, Birrell has compiled an Analysis of the Annual HPV Vaccination Programme that shows that the first deaths saved from cervical cancer – (based on administration of Cervarix to 12 year old adolescent girls in 2008) will not be seen until the year 2016 (1.2 deaths per 100,000) at a cost to the government of £75,657,800 annually with a total cost of £681 million.

In other words…over 75 million £ will have been spent each year on the vaccine programme for 9 years to save one life….which Cancer Research UK has shown to be the mortality rate for this age group. (Table 2)

But wait there is more…according to Birrell’s research –

• It will take 28 years to save the first 628 lives, the annual target at a cost of £3.2 million for each life saved.

• It will take 73 years to save 628 lives annually – At a cost of £340,360 for each life saved.

The analysis also projects a total of 16,227 lives in the UK will be saved in total over the first 73 years – with an average of only 222 lives saved annually. In addition, it will take 240 years before the cost of a life saved falls below £150,000.

Add in the fact that the vaccine efficacy is only expected to last 10 years, meaning the girls first administered the vaccination series in their teens will need a booster in their 20’s…and so on up the ladder. Those pro-inflated costs and the costs associated with recommended annual pap screening were not included in Birrell’s analysis. Costs associated with vaccine adverse injuries were also not used in this equation.

Birrell was unable to uncover information in the public domain on the financial benefits to the UK government from this vaccination programme – justifiably raising serious questions over the Pharma/government agenda behind the HPV Vaccine programme.

Bottom line – bottom dollar – the UK government will spend £5.5 billion over the first 73 years of the vaccination programme with the expectation of saving 628 lives each year but with the current efficacy being only expected to last 10 years then these costs are grossly underestimated if a booster jab is introduced. If no booster jab is introduced and the efficacy falls at around age 22, it would render the previous ten years a total waste of public funds, accomplishing nothing more than giving false hope to all the participants who believed they would be ‘armed for life’ against cervical cancer.

SANE Vax Inc. can see no economic justification for this programme. We believe the UK government has been misled by the pharmaceutical industry regarding the risk to benefit profile of HPV vaccine programmes. Should other government leaders start doing the math regarding the cost of each life saved, we believe they would unveil HPV vaccination programmes as a colossal waste of public health funds with very few benefits to their constituents.

SaneVax Inc. Protests FDA Approval of Second-Rate HPV Genotyping as a Cancer Test

Last week the FDA approved the HPV cobas test manufactured by Roche for HPV-16 and HPV-18 genotyping utilizing a probe-based technology for cervical cancer screening in the United States.

PRLog (Press Release) – May 04, 2011 – This test was approved without a public advisory committee meeting, despite FDA regulations requiring such a meeting prior to the approval of any cancer diagnostic test.

Granting approval behind closed doors has denied American medical consumers’ access to any safety and/or efficacy data submitted to the FDA prior to their approval of this Class III ‘cancer screening’ test, contrary to prior FDA actions and current published guidelines.

According to one prior FDA Reclassification Order, “HPV test device shall therefore be retained in Class III, and is subject to premarket approval requirements.” (This includes at least one pre-approval advisory committee meeting open to the public.) The same FDA order also ruled, “…probe design is a critical process for HPV DNA testing because of the large number of closely related HPV genotypes. Complex probe cocktails may cross-react and/or compete with one another….”

A separate FDA Staff and Industry Guidance Document clearly states the FDA recommends any new HPV genotyping device be validated by an FDA-approved HPV test, or by PCR plus sequencing.

Both the National Cancer Institute and current scientific textbooks refer to DNA sequencing as the reliable method, or the ‘gold standard’ for HPV genotyping.

Based on research the SaneVax Team discovered in the public domain, approval of the HPV-16 and HPV-18 genotyping method used in Roche’s cobas device was not granted in accordance with the FDA’s own recommended protocol, or currently accepted scientific standards. This has made it virtually impossible to determine the validity/accuracy of Roche’s test.

The SaneVax Team received no response to their April 22, 2011 letter to FDA Commissioner, Dr. Margaret Hamburg, which emphasized one additional problem with the new ‘cancer screening test’ manufactured by Roche:

“The positive predictive value (ppv) of this cancer test for CIN3 (8.4%) was reported to be lower than the ppv for CIN2 lesions (14.0%). We all know a CIN3 lesion is more cancer-like than a CIN2 lesion. It is highly disturbing to learn that a ‘cancer test’ approved by the FDA appears to lose its positive predictive value as a precancerous lesion progresses to a more severe stage close to cancer.”

It appears the FDA has left medical consumers depending on a test that has not been proven accurate (validated), has not cross-checked results by using DNA sequencing, and exhibits accuracy (ppv) that diminishes as abnormal cervical lesions come closer to developing into cancer.

Should this ‘cancer test’ be marketed as a means to monitor HPV vaccinations, it will do nothing to prove HPV vaccine safety, efficacy or need.

Therefore, the SaneVax Team again requests the approval of Roche’s cobas HPV test be rescinded until the device is properly validated according to current FDA standards.

GlaxoSmithKline is not off the hook on this either as mounting injuries from Cervarix (approved in the US in 2009) are now being reported to VAERS. How many deaths and how many injuries is it going to take before these vaccines are taken off the market?

The latest VAERS reports include:

• 376 abnormal pap smears post HPV vaccination
• 108 reports of anogenital warts found after HPV vaccination
• 224 reports of papillomavirus infections found after HPV vaccination
• 41 reports of cervical cancer after HPV vaccination
• 21,634 Adverse Events
• 95 Deaths

The numbers reflect approximately, 1 to 10% of the adverse event population reporting. Medical consumers and physicians do not often think that vaccinations harm people – and therefore injuries and illnesses are not immediately associated with the vaccine.

HPV vaccines have been administered to adolescent girls and boys whose parents believed in the government’s vaccine program. They followed their physician’s advice – and have been deceived. What does that say about a government ‘for the people’?

SANE Vax, Inc. is outraged at the injustice shown to these families who now suffer from loss of life or diminished quality of life; outraged by their financial helplessness as they pay for mounting medical bills not covered by health insurance companies.

It is apparent in this country – the only one’s innocent until proven guilty are the government and corporations – who have protected themselves from liability. For the rest of us – well, we are guilty until proven innocent – and the burden of proof lies on our shoulders.

“My daughter who has just turned 14 years old has been unable to attend school due to fatigue and nausea and other symptoms since last December 2010. When I took her to her G.P. and had all the usual blood tests done they returned as normal. I did mention to the doctor that my daughter had had her second HPV injection at school just before she began to feel sick, but she dismissed any connection. The third vaccination injection is due this Thursday and I have decided to not allow my daughter have this final injection. Is this o.k. for her not to complete the vaccination programme as I am now suspecting that there may be a connection between the vaccination and her illness? My daughter has just started back to school this week after an absence of over three months. She is attending for only a few hours per day as she is too fatigued to manage any more than that.”

“I just had an MRI completed for my lower lumbar spine; I had a minor sports injury. Results read “bladder distention was noted.” I completed my Gardasil vaccine over a year and a half ago, and two months after started noticing extra pressure and pain in my abdomen, and enlarged lymph nodes. Prior to the vaccine, I never experienced any of my “symptoms” and Gardasil is the biggest regret of my life. It was pushed upon me by my 3 doctors for years, promising it was safe, and there were no side effects associated. After I started complaining about tiredness and abdomen pain, major side effects were being brought to my attention. I feel deceived, lied to, and tricked. I experience discomfort and occasional pain when I am intimate with my partner. I have trouble urinating, and urinate frequently now. I am 24 years old, and devastated about my experience and findings. I am depressed and fearful of other complications it may cause in the future and can only be hopeful that I didn’t damage and will not pass on any complications to a child.”

“I am writing to u because I was also affected by Gardasil. I now have limbic encephalitis, which is the swelling of the brain, along with heart palpitations which don’t let me sleep, extremely bad headaches, body pain every morning, bone problems, anxiety problems, the list goes on forever. SaneVax Introduces One More Cervarix Girl: Gemma from the United Kingdom

9 March 2011, through the kindness and generosity of 478 people pledging their support, the proposed “ONE MORE GIRL” documentary has reached the initial funding goal.

Mar 14, 2011 – Victims of adverse reactions after HPV vaccination will have a voice thanks to these contributors and the Richardson brothers.

The adverse reactions experienced by Ryan and David’s sister after Gardasil prompted their initial investigation. The nightmares they discovered sent them on a mission to inform the world. That mission is to make sure no one else goes through what their family, and so many others, experienced without knowing the potential risks in advance. With this in mind, they decided any additional pledges received before the April 11th deadline will be put toward filming from an international perspective. After all, it is a global problem.

Gemma is from the United Kingdom. Her story clearly illustrates why the Richardson brothers would like to expand their coverage of the trail of tears left in the wake of Gardasil and Cervarix vaccinations.

Gemma enjoyed school and was good at most subjects, but she truly excelled at sports. She played football, hockey, cricket, and rounders, all on championship teams. Her rounders team was unbeaten for three years running. In her senior year, she was netball player of the year.

The week before her 16th birthday, Gemma was busy planning an ice skating trip with a group of her friends as a birthday treat. All of a sudden, she began to feel dizzy and had a headache. Her parents put it down to just feeling a bit off, perhaps a cold. She didn’t make it to the party.

When the dizziness and pain persisted for a couple of days, her parents decided it was time to visit the doctor. Her blood tests came back normal. Gemma’s GP said she thought it was a case of vertigo, gave her some medication and told her not to use her MP3 player.

Everyone assumed she would feel much better in a week or so. That was not the case.

As time went on, her dizziness eased up a bit; but the headaches became progressively worse. Intense pain was forcing Gemma to come home from school on a regular basis. Her vision began to deteriorate, forcing her to wear glasses. Her parents decided it was time for a specialist.

Gemma’s MRI (brain scan) showed nothing abnormal. Thinking it could be Basia migraines, a condition that affects mostly teenage girls, the neurologist composed a letter to her GP suggesting suitable medication.

Even though taking the prescribed medication, Gemma was not improving. She got through her exams (GCSE’s), but during the summer she became more and more withdrawn. The occasional trip to the Trafford Centre with a friend was all she could be bothered with. She spent most of the time in her room, by herself. As the headaches continued, her GP recommended different medications to no avail.

Her parents helplessly watched their daughter suffer, unable to do anything about it. Gemma’s condition deteriorated. The occasional day off school due to headaches turned into a week or two at a time. She was becoming a recluse, shut up in her room in terrible pain. Desperately her parents tried to come up with a reason for her condition. Suddenly, they recalled having to pick Gemma up from school on the day she had been vaccinated with Cervarix. Investigating on their own, they also discovered many others suffering the same symptoms after the same vaccine. Things were beginning to make sense.

They started taking information with them to Gemma’s now weekly doctor visits. None of the doctors seemed to be aware of the other girls throughout the United Kingdom having the same adverse reactions after their Cervarix vaccinations. After learning this, one of Gemma’s consulting neurologists had this to say about her new medical condition:

“As I discussed in clinic, I think that the most likely explanation is that the vaccine may have triggered an underlying tendency to headaches (such as migraine) which has persisted.”

Gemma’s parents are hoping they can prevent others from going through similar experiences by telling her story. They know people like David and Ryan Richardson are fighting to get the truth out so others know the potential risks involved with HPV vaccines before they decide whether the benefits outweigh the risks.

SANEVAX, Inc. As of March 5, 2011 the number of visitors to Jessica Faye Ericzon’s Memorial Site (the first known post-Gardasil death) has risen to 23,254. The number of adverse reactions reported to VAERS has also risen to 21,474 events where Vaccine is HPV or HPV2 (Cervarix) or HPV4 (Gardasil). The death toll post-vaccination still stands at 93 – with only 1 to 10% of the vaccine-injured population reporting. What’s another zero, or two?

Although the GlaxoSmithKline has been more subtle than Merck in their marketing efforts –adverse reactions after Cervarix are also being reported to VAERS. For example VAERS incident number 413727 - posted on December 29, 2010:

This case was reported by a physician and described the occurrence of complicated Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in a 13-year-old female subject who was vaccinated with CERVARIX (GlaxoSmithKline). Former vaccinations included CERVARIX on 16 April and 18 May 2009. On 26 May 2010 the subject received 3rd dose of CERVARIX (unknown route and application site). On 26 May 2010, less than one day after vaccination with CERVARIX, the subject experienced neck myalgia and pain in cervical spine. On 14 June 2010 the subject had severe pain in cervical spine. The subject was hospitalised on 07 July 2010 with severe pain and increasing paresis of the right arm. On 13 July 2010 the subject was transferred to another unit with the diagnosis of metastinal and cervical tumour. After further diagnostics the subject was diagnosed with complicated Non-Hodgkin''s lymphoma with affecting the central nervous system and infiltrating the cerebral membrane. At the time of reporting the outcome of the events was unspecified. The subject's father, who is a microbiologist, was convinced the event was caused by vaccination with CERVARIX. Follow-up information has been requested.
Sane Vax, Inc. is hearing from more and more victims and their mothers weekly. Rosemary Mathis, Vice-President of Victim’s Support just responded to the mother of a 13 year old girl in Oregon who is now blind – post Gardasil vaccination. The family is from a small community and many adverse reactions to Gardasil have been noted for such a small population.

Protecting one more girl from becoming one more injured – may need to be changed to protecting one more child from becoming one more fatality.
Fennville, Michigan was hit with incredible sorrow this week after the tragic sudden death of their star basketball player, collapsed on court after a winning game. An autopsy report Friday revealed he died from a heart attack due to dilated cardiomyopathy.1.
An isolated and dubious link to HPV vaccination, you might say…perhaps….except that the article also reports on another recent tragedy in Fennville: a 14 year old wrestler suffered a seizure at home and died after competing in a wrestling match in January 2010.
Professionals involved in the research and the VAERS analysis know that this second death raises questions that need to be addressed. Are these deaths related? Did these two young men receive the HPV vaccine? Their profiles are eerily similar to the sudden deaths – post HPV vaccination - of otherwise healthy adolescent girls. Michigan does list HPV vaccines as a part of their recommended immunization schedule.2. SANE Vax, Inc. believes that medical consumers need to know the answer to these questions.
Perhaps, data on HPV vaccine related injuries and fatalities will be easier to collect in smaller communities where adverse reactions are more visible.
The proposed ONE MORE GIRL Documentary will help ensure that this type of experimentation on innocent medical consumers will never happen again. An anonymous donation of $5,000 was made over the weekend – putting us well on our way to reaching our goal. Six other backers have donated over $1,000 each.
